If you don’t know who Tom Cotton is it shouldn’t matter. He has no reason to be a Senator, but the voters of Arkansas unwisely elected him. He is best known for his traitorous action of writing to the government of Iran in an attempt to undermine the nuclear arms negotiations. It you thought that was un-American and an ignorant action, listen to what he wants to do now. He wants Dick Cheney to take over the position of Speaker of the House.
“Look, these are trying times for our nation. It’s important to have a steady hand on the helm during times like this. I think experience really counts in a matter like this. I think House leadership experience really matters,” Cotton said, according to Politico’s congressional newsletter Huddle. “And as you know the speaker doesn’t have to be a member of the House: So therefore, Vice President Cheney for speaker.”
Yes, the same Dick Cheney who was the architect of the Iraq war. The same Dick Cheney who authorized torture of our suspected enemies, and says that he would do it again. The same Dick Cheney who partnered with President Bush to bankrupt a nation. The same Dick Cheney who made millions of dollars because of his association with Halliburton. (Halliburton was awarded a no-bid contract to set up business in Iraq.) The same Dick Cheney who should have been tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity. This is Tom Cotton’s hero.
Cotton is obviously a man who considers himself important. He is also unaware that Senators must keep their nose out of the House’s business. If he looks very hard, he just might find something which needs to be accomplished in the Senate.
Haven’t our nation’s people suffered enough from the misdeeds of inexperienced Congressmen in Washington? Why would even the most extremist legislator believe that a criminal such as Dick Cheney would serve our nation’s people? A retired Republican airhead suggested another failure to replace John Boehner, and he too was a criminal and an immoral man; Newt Gingrich. I suppose that soon someone else will suggest that Dennis Hastert return to his former role of a puppet for the Bush Administration. I’m sure he can find a young page or two to molest.
Let’s get real my fellow Americans. We need intelligent, hard-working men and women in Washington who will represent all of our nation’s people, not just special interests.
Legislators such as Cotton are an embarrassment to our nation and an insult for their lack of true American values. I hope you will all join me by registering your disgust regarding the lack of qualified men and women who are allowed to take money under false pretenses from the American people, and vote them out of office.
