GOP Front Runners Attack George Bush

Donald

I would have expected that Democrats would have included the failures of Ronald Reagan’s economic policy, and George W. Bush’s disastrous reign into their campaigns at some point, but I never expected that the two leaders of the GOP would be the first to criticize the 43rd president.

Donald Trump made the statement that George W. Bush could have prevented the attacks on 9/11, a claim made by many from liberal America. He’s not entirely wrong, but to hear it from the GOP presidential candidate who is leading in the polls was a little surprising; but then it’s Donald Trump.

“Look, look, Jeb said we were safe with my brother — we were safe,” the Republican front-runner told Fox. “Well, the World Trade Center just fell down! Now, am I trying to blame him? I’m not blaming anybody. But the World Trade Center came down.”

Now the number two man in the polls, Ben Carson, has slammed Bush. He commented on ABC’s ‘This Week’ that the former president could have captured Osama Bin Laden sooner if he had made the effort. He said that Bush should have challenged the Arab States.

“I think they would have been extremely concerned if we had declared — and we were serious about it — that we were going to become petroleum independent, because it would have had a major impact on their finances,” Carson said. “And I think that probably would have trumped any loyalty that they had to people like Osama bin Laden.”

After years of investigation we know that if more effort was made by the Bush Administration, there is a chance that 9/11 could have been prevented, but Trump’s reasoning has little credence. He claims that if a stronger immigration policy had been in place, the tragedy would not have happened. Really?

As for Carson, he is simply proving his lack of knowledge regarding world affairs. The Arabs have little concern about threats, especially when oil is involved. They have enough for generations, and they continue to control the price and distribution.

This has become the most entertaining campaign season ever. Trump hates everyone, and they all hate him. Ted Cruz not only has every Democrat firing at him, his second and third greatest enemies are the present Speaker of the House and his own Senate Majority Leader. Jeb Bush has proven himself a blithering idiot. Rand Paul and others are nearly out of money. Once considered a front runner, Scott Walker was forced to remove himself from the race due to a lack of campaign contributions. “And the beat goes on.”

To say that the GOP is imploding does not represent the actual situation. Nobody who is qualified wants to replace John Boehner because of infighting between the true Republicans and the TEA Party. The leading candidates for the presidency in 2016 do not possess a single qualification which would allow them to lead our nation.

In the latest poll, TEA bagger Marco Rubio registered a distant third. He has no ideas, no platform, and is simply boring. Meanwhile Trump is leading in the polls in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. No member of the GOP has ever failed to win the party’s nomination after winning the first four primary contests.

As long as Trump is in the race, this will be fun!
