Mike Huckabee said this about the leading Democratic presidential candidates:
“People need to realize, these are incredibly gifted, talented and ruthless political players,” Huckabee, who like Bill Clinton is a former Arkansas governor.
“I know everybody talks about all the problems. Look, I have dealt with the Clintons in a political way for over 26 years … anybody who says, well Joe gets into the race and everything changes, and Hillary’s in trouble, don’t bet on it.”
Huckabee is a Christian religious extremist who wants to be your president. He was on the propaganda machine’s “FOX and Friends” talking about the unlikelihood of Joe Biden entering the race for the presidency.
His words were attacks on the Democratic front runners, but in reality they were complimentary. ‘Gifted, talented and ruthless’ actually means ‘qualified, competent and confident.’ Those three words cannot be applied to any GOP candidate.
At the beginning of the first GOP faux-debate, Marco Rubio made a statement about how fortunate he felt to be on stage with so many extremely qualified candidates. Was he aware that Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and others were standing there? Not one of the ten could operate a lemonade stand effectively.
In a contorted manner Huckabee was touting the fact that Hillary Clinton was a First Lady, a Senator from New York and the Secretary of State. Bernie Sanders was a member of the House for eight years, and presently in his eighth year as a Senator. Joe Biden was a Senator serving on multiple committees since 1987 until her became the vice-president in 2009.
Six of the remaining GOP candidates have no federal experience. Three of those six have never served in public office at any level. Another three are members of the TEA Party and the obstructionist, extremist force behind our broken government. Not a single positive achievement has been made by even one of them. Former and present governors are incapable of performing at the national level; we need only to look at the last Republican Governor to become president, George W. Bush.
Therefore I thank Mike Huckabee for his praise of the Democratic candidates. Any one of the three would be a great choice for the presidency.
This is not a time in our nation’s history when we can elect someone who would govern under the ‘hunt and peck,’ or ‘trial and error’ method. These are serious times when the quality of life for the working class in on the decline. We need intelligence, talent, compassion and a sense of reality in our nation’s leader.
