Those of you who read me on a regular basis know that I believe that one of the greatest evils in our nation is FOX Noise. It is a vile pretend news network which is in reality a propaganda machine for the GOP. In addition it is divisive and encourages anger and hatred. The worst offenders are two of its biggest celebrities, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.
It was recently revealed that FOX’s biggest ‘star,’ Bill O’Reilly, has built his career based on lies and fantasy. All of his books and highest rated shows were formulated with imagination rather than facts. He is merely a faux-journalist who has become a member of the wealthy class through deception.
O’Reilly’s intentional ignorance to what is the real America is unforgiveable. He continually berates the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, denying the indisputable fact that blacks are treated differently than whites by law enforcement.
During his ‘unreality’ show on Monday, he criticized the actor/director Quentin Tarantino for appearing at a rally in New York on Saturday. The gathering was called ‘RiseUpOctober,’ and was an extension of the Black Lives Matter movement. Unfortunately the timing was less than perfect; a New York City police officer had previously been killed in the line of duty.
O’Reilly showed a clip of Tarantino speaking about the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson. He defended the grand jury which exonerated Officer Wilson, and continued to attack the filmmaker. Of course he used his constant name-calling tactic, labeling Tarantino as “the purveyor of degeneracy.” “This Tarantino character. I think he destroyed his career, because anyone who’s hearing that is gonna go, ‘You know what, maybe I’m not gonna see his movies,'” O’Reilly said.
O’Reilly doesn’t go to movies; he is extremely wealthy and the movies come to him.
Then there’s Sean Hannity; O’Reilly’s brain damaged ‘brother from another mother.’ The truth is that he is even worse than O’Reilly fact checking his stories; and they are stories, not reality. Whether it was intentional or simply ignorance, Hannity recently reported that President Obama planned to accept 250,000 Syrian refugees into our nation.
The story actually came from a ‘hoax’ website, but Hannity reported it on his show ‘Real News Right Now.’ We know that FOX has never reported ‘real news;’ it is an entertainment network.
When Hannity passed this false information to Donald Trump, the laughable presidential candidate began using it in his rants to supporters.
FOX has made a difference within American politics, and it’s not a positive situation. It has been a principle reason why our nation is divided, and racism and bigotry have flourished.
During his campaign in 1999, George W. Bush said: “I am a uniter, not a divider.” In reality our nation became more divided under his administration than at any other time in our nation’s history since the Civil War. FOX has continued to attack all progressives and supports the TEA Party in its continued policy of ‘never compromise.’
Our nation cannot survive under its present condition. We are no longer the ‘United States of America.’ America is following the GOP and is beginning to implode. The creation of a nation filled with anger and hatred has been the intention of politicians. Voters cast their ballots with emotion rather than intellect. Bad politicians create bad government, and we have one of the worst.
