Although the latest poll reveals that Donald Trump is now firmly in second place, seven points behind Ben Carson, he has not ceased his efforts to stand alone among the GOP Candidates. Complaints after the third GOP debate hosted by CNBC were registered by virtually every presidential wannabee. An analysis of the debate and the complaints expressed, proves that the truth is that the candidates did not like the questions, and in many cases could not, or would not answer them. The three leading candidates, Carson, Trump, and Rubio all told blatant lies.
They want to select their own moderators who will ask them questions they want to be asked, and not contain a great amount of substance. Nothing would be asked about their past transgressions. Ted Cruz, who is the most extreme of all, actually wants Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity to moderate the debates. Really!
Donald Trump originally said he would sign a letter with the other 14 which contains a list of demands for change in the formatting of future debates. Monday evening he changed his mind.
“As we have for the previous three debates, the Trump campaign will continue to negotiate directly with the host network to establish debate criteria that will determine Mr. Trump’s participation,” a spokesman for the GOP front-runner said in an email to The Hill. “This is no different than the process that occurred prior to the FOX, CNN, and CNBC debates.”
The only thing predictable about ‘the Donald’ is that he’s unpredictable.
President Obama chimed in on the criticism of the CNBC moderators: “If you can’t handle these guys, how are you going to handle the Chinese or the Russians?”
Ben Carson and Marco Rubio are desperate for control over the questions to be asked. Carson was unhappy with being asked about his involvement with a supplement company which is under federal indictment. He claimed he was not associated with them, but fact checking revealed a ten-year partnership including at least four paid speeches and one infomercial.
Marco Rubio was asked about his personal finances. Court records reveal that he lost one home and was forced to take a loss on a retirement investment. He refused to state whether or not he would be able to handle the fiscal policy of an entire nation.
It seems strange that they are complaining, while the Democrats were asked policy questions by Anderson Cooper, never avoided answering them, and never attacked each other. The difference is that the Democrats actually held a debate, while three held by the GOP were nothing more than sideshows.
If I was a registered member of the GOP I would have a complaint; I want to see and hear one candidate who is actually qualified to lead our nation, and not just make a false claim that he or she is capable of performing the job of the president.
It must be embarrassing for GOP voters to see the leader at this time be a man who knows nothing about government and can’t answer questions about his own plan to change our income tax policy. It’s difficult to realize that a man who doesn’t believe in science, including uncertainty whether or not gravity exists, and made the claim that if the Jews were armed the holocaust would not have happened, is the leading candidate in the GOP.
Exposing Ben Carson, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz has become my obsession. Donald Trump is kind enough to expose himself.
