Last Tuesday the misinformed voters in Houston failed to pass a law protecting the LGBT community. A similar law exists in San Antonio and Austin, but 60 percent of Houston voters prevented it from becoming law. I said misinformed because the advertisements against the measure were misleading; the voters failed to seek the truth.

Failed Speaker of the House and criminal at large Newt Gingrich continued to chime in on the defeat of a sensible piece of city legislation.

“I was delighted to see that the people of Houston voted for common sense,” Gingrich, a Republican, said during an appearance on the Houston-area program The Sam Malone Show to promote his new novel, Duplicity.

Well of course he’s glad; he’s one of the foremost members of the GOP who are racist, bigoted, homophobic and misogynistic. They pretend to be Christians and use this as their reason for hatred and denying equal rights to all Americans. He is a hypocrite who spoke vehemently about ‘family values’ when he was in office. Then he found a mistress and flaunted her in front of his wife who was lying in bed dying of cancer.

“In fact, I hope the Congress is going to pick up on Houston and do the same thing to a new Department of Education regulation that says that boys who want to can declare themselves transgender and use girls’ bathrooms in high school, which I think is just one of those things where you shake your head and you wonder how really lacking in understanding of human nature the bureaucrats are who write this stuff,” Gingrich said.

His words prove that he and his cronies are the ones who are out of touch with reality. He had no talent as a politician; he was merely a tool for the party of hatred which uses anger to stimulate voters. Liberals believe in the Constitution and share the ideals of our founding fathers who believe in freedom and equality for all, not just for a small group who lead lives of privilege. Republicans and the TEA Party want to rewrite the Constitution to make it more friendly to their twisted views.

Gingrich claims that liberals are trying to impose their views on him. He obviously doesn’t read the polls. The majority of Americans are in favor of same-sex marriage. His complaints about foreign policy decisions are also on the wrong side of voters. The vast majority favor diplomacy over rushing blindly into another unwinnable war.

Those who have failed the American people; Gingrich, Cheney, Palin, Limbaugh, and Coulter should leave our nation and start their own consisting of all-white, wealthy, heterosexual men, with just enough women who are compliant to meet their needs.
