Rubio’s Inexperience is Showing: it’s a big Problem

Fail

Marco Rubio is highly unqualified to be President of the United States. He knows little about domestic issues, and absolutely nothing regarding international relations. Since taking the oath of office in 2011, Rubio had but a singular star on his report card. Along with seven other Senators, he negotiated a reasonable plan to reform immigration. I said ‘had,’ because now he doesn’t support his own plan.

Yesterday in a speech Rubio said: “I’d like to have a beer with Malala.”  In case you’ve forgotten, Malala Yousafzai is a young Pakistani activist who was shot in the face by the Taliban, and later given the Nobel Prize for Peace.

There are two problems with Rubio’s statement. He obviously knows nothing about the religion of Islam; they are forbidden to consume alcohol. Secondly, Malala is only 18 years old. Really.

Tonight is the fourth GOP faux-debate. Jeb Bush is the most desperate of all candidates, and is planning to attack Rubio with all the energy and venom he can muster.

Mike Murphy is the chief strategist for Bush’s Super PAC ‘The Right to Rise.’ When questioned about previous support of Rubio by Bush, he said: “Part of running for president is you have to put your big boy pants on and get vetted on the issues, so we know we don’t have a dud candidate running against Hillary Clinton.” When the reporters asked him about Bush’s decade of effusive on-camera praise for Rubio — Team Rubio has a highlight reel ready — Murphy replied: “We all supported him for the Senate. We all support him staying there, because he is far from proving he is ready and experienced enough to be president of the United States in a dangerous time.”

He’s not wrong, but what makes Jeb Bush more qualified than Rubio? He has been in the private sector for eight years, and has no federal experience, and therefore no knowledge of foreign relations. He has already admitted that he would re-institute the failed policies of his older brother. He does not support the issues important to the American people. He has huge ties to Wall Street and the oil companies.

I’m already tired of these ridiculous attempts at a serious debate; but I have to watch it. How else would I know who made the biggest fool of themselves this time? For the first two it was easy; Donald Trump was a lock! But after Carson and Rubio’s lies last time, and Carson’s inability to justify his unworkable tax plan, each of them now has an opportunity to win the jester’s crown.
