The American people have been forced to listen to Donald Trump’s vicious and moronic diatribe for far too long. It’s time for him to go. If for some reason he won the general election, he would be impeached within three months. He does not know anything about leading our nation through its many international and domestic difficulties.

He has proven that he does not believe in the ideology which is America, and he supports an oligarchy instead of a democracy.

Recently he criticized the protests at the University of Missouri, which resulted in the resignations of both the President and the Chancellor. The protests became powerful when the football team and coaches joined the students as they rallied against racial tensions on campus.

“I think it’s disgusting,” Trump said in an interview with the Fox Business Network.

“I think the two people that resigned are weak, ineffective people,” Trump said. “I think that when they resigned, they set something in motion that’s gonna be a disaster for the next long period of time.”

Trump should be honest with the American people and have the word “racist” tattooed on his forehead. In a note to supporters of the GOP, he represents you; he is your leader. He decides what you believe and represent.

Nothing which once made our country a great nation was ever achieved without struggle. Seldom has open and intelligent discussion alone cured the ills of our country. The United States of America would not exist if the Revolutionary War never occurred. Black men, women, and children would be slaves today without the Civil War. The American worker would be paid less than the prevailing minimum wage today if unions had not forced management to pay fair wages and include benefit packages as incentive for performance. Women would not be allowed to vote if they had not chosen to demand equality. The Vietnam War might still be fought today if the youth of America had not commanded an end to the carnage.

America’s history of change is the result of the people demanding it. Governments do not take action when necessary until the people rise up and take control of their country and their human rights.

2016 is a pivotal year for our nation. Will voters decide to return our country to the high standards created by our founding fathers, or will it continue its downward spiral and deny equality for all of its citizens, not just a few? Will Constitutional violations continue, or will the people demand that our government obey the law of the land? Most importantly, will our people return our nation to a country dominated by tolerance and compassion for our fellow man, or will we continue to allow government to rule us through the use of fear tactics and increasing hatred?

The Trumps of the world are merely buffoons. But when they have support from an ill-informed voting public, they become dangerous to the American way of life.

While Trump and others in the clown car continue to complain about everything, Democratic candidates have offered solutions. There was a time in our nation’s history when the two parties were quite similar; only the methods of how to solve our country’s problems distinguished them. An influx of extremists who call themselves the TEA Party, or the Freedom Caucus, has moved the GOP much farther to the right than when Ronald Reagan was president. During the recent Bush presidency, our nation was intentionally divided to a level not seen since the Civil War.

My fellow Americans; it’s your choice. You can take back your country or surrender to the one-percent.
