Once again the GOP presidential hopefuls use a tragic event in an attempt to make themselves appear presidential, and demean the sincere efforts of their opponents. All respect is lost for all 15 passengers of the clown car when they refuse to display compassion and make rash judgement based on the fear of losing an election.
ISIS is the direct result of an illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq by the George W. Bush Administration, and recently confirmed indirectly by our 43rd president’s father. That hasn’t deterred GOP presidential wannabees, who have absolutely zero knowledge of foreign affairs to attack our President and Hillary Clinton. Without substantive ideas for progress, this is the only tactic they can possibly use.
Regardless of the claims of these horrifically unqualified individuals, the truth remains that no American, civilian or military, should reside in the Middle East. This is imperialism at its worst. We have no responsibility for what occurs in the region, and American lives and resources should not be wasted as they were in the past.
Although Carly Fiorina knows nothing about foreign relations, she is quick to make a desperate attempt to renew her failing campaign.
“I am angry that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton declared victory in Iraq in 2011, abandoned all of our hard-won gains for political expediency and contrary to the advice of every general that spoke with them, thus leaving vast swaths of territory and too much weaponry to be gobbled up by ISIS,” Fiorina told those at the Sunshine Summit, a political gathering of Florida Republicans.
I am angry at George W. Bush and Dick Cheney for their illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq which ultimately resulted in the creation of ISIS.
Other presidential wannabees chimed in. Trump said that the tragedy in Paris would not have happened if the victims were armed. Really? Guns vs bombs?
Marco Rubio claimed that ISIS wants to kill anyone who doesn’t believe as they do. He actually thinks that they are devout Muslims. He needs an education.
John Kasich called for immediate action by an American led coalition. Chris Christie told Americans to recall 9/11 and the fear they felt at the time. Bobby Jindal somehow linked our borders with Mexico and the attacks in Paris.
What a group; not a single average IQ among them.
This, coupled with last night’s Democratic debate, proves that liberals are far more qualified to solve our nation’s problems both internationally and domestically. Experience is not always the number one criteria for all situations, but when we’re talking about the President of the United States it is the only quality which matters.
