Whatever bad happens in our nation or around the world is the fault of President Obama or Hillary Clinton. This is the only tool the GOP has in its failing attempts to convince the American people that they are qualified to lead our nation.

Rick Santorum, one of the GOP candidates who has absolutely no opportunity to win his party’s nomination, is blaming Hillary Clinton for the horrific attacks in Paris last Friday evening.

“ISIS is creation of a political decision by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to abandon Iraq against all of our generals’ recommendations, against all of the policy recommendations”, Santorum told Florida GOP activists at the Sunshine Summit showcase of Republican presidential hopefuls.

How easily the right wing ignores and denies history. I hope Rick Santorum reads this; he just might learn the truth.

When George W. Bush made the decision to invade Iraq in 2003 under false pretenses, he began the chain of events which not only created ISIS, but also destabilized the entire region and resulted in the situation which exists today.

Our government killed Saddam Hussein. Although it’s true that he was one of many evil despots around the world, with his removal Bush created a disheveled nation whose only course would become a civil war.

Hussein’s Sunni party was in control of Iraq. With his removal Shiites claimed power. The Shia rulers began to enact revenge upon Sunni Muslims for past atrocities. Sunnis countered and a civil war began. With the area now destabilized and the war between Sunnis and Shiites escalating, ISIS was formed with the purpose of taking back Sunni control of the nation and establishing its own Islamic State.

Rick, if you still believe that by removing our troops from Iraq was a mistake, why don’t you, your wife, and your seven children move to Iraq and fight ISIS? The family of our military are weary of losing their loved ones for no purpose with the exception of those who are invested in the military industrial complex; (Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz).

Let’s place the blame on the true villain; a Republican Administration which failed to defend our nation on 9/11, and placed our military and the nation in two unwinnable wars.

War is the hobby of Republicans. They believe that our nation should constantly be at war and continue our imperialistic actions as ‘the world’s policeman.’ Of course none of them or their families serve in the defense of our nation. That task is mostly left to low-income and poor Americans.

Today Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal withdrew from the GOP race for the 2016 presidential nomination. It was way overdue. It’s also past the time when Santorum should have removed himself from contention. He is wasting time and money on a futile attempt to become important.

Our nation needs a leader, not an individual who continually spouts bullshit. The GOP constantly attempts to cover up its lack of ideas and knowledge with attacks. The 2016 election is far too important to allow another buffoon to live in the White House. International relations and the very future of our nation are in the balance. Should we elect anyone who is unable to support his or her rhetoric with facts? I don’t believe so.
