Politicians who have failed the American people should no longer receive attention from the media for their absurd opinions. These include Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, Rudy Giuliani, and Newt Gingrich.

Gingrich may be the worst of the lot. He was a criminal who was forced to resign from his position as Speaker of the House, and an adulterer who flaunted his affair while his wife lay dying of cancer.

The University of Missouri, Yale University and Southern Methodist University have all experienced demonstrations by the student body to address the practice of racism on campus. Gingrich says that they are wasting their time. He said that they “could eliminate racism by studying hard, working and getting wealthy.” Really?

He also said: “We’re not going to be bullied because a handful of people decide they can be important without having earned it.”

This man is the perfect example of why students, black and white, are protesting as racism is growing in America. But Gingrich is in denial. He is opposed to the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement and claims that blacks are treated equally with whites by law enforcement. Those who are racist themselves constantly deny its existence.

How can a man who was so debauched during his failed political career dare tell black students to study hard? As for becoming wealthy, he should tell them to go into politics and lie and cheat to become rich; he set the bar.

It is Gingrich who is wasting our time spewing hatred and racism while living a life of privilege. He and his close friend Donald Trump are the perfect examples of the leaders of the GOP. Under Gingrich’s leadership the beginnings of the destruction of a once Grand Old Party originated. Corruption and a total loss of morality and service to the majority of Americans is the result.

If an individual speaks about important issues facing the people of our nation, they must have a positive solution for the problem. Denying facts do not make them go away; but he should.
