Extremists on the right, and that includes Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, attacked President Obama’s legitimacy to seek the presidency claiming he was born outside of the United States. That has been debunked. In addition, his mother was an American citizen, therefore so was Mr. Obama. None of this quieted the ‘birthers.’

Ted Cruz is running for president. He was the procreation of a Cuban father, and an American mother; but he was not born in the United States; he was born in Canada.

If a child is born to a U.S. citizen outside of the country, that individual must have resided in the United States for 10 years, five of them after the age of 14. This was never in question because his birth records are in Hawaii.

Ted Cruz’ mother did not fulfill the residency definition. His father’s visa had expired, and he applied for asylum in Canada, where Ted Cruz was born. He is not eligible to be the President of the United States. Also questioned is if his mother was a U.S. citizen at the actual time of his birth.

It would be nothing new for Cruz to violate the Constitution. He continues to seek revocation of the 14^th amendment which requires equal protection under the law. He would deny same-sex couples to marry although the Supreme Court has guaranteed their rights. He approves of the governments repeal of the fourth amendment believing that the government should be allowed to spy on its citizens without legal action, and seize any item of value suspected to a relation with drug enforcement laws. The worst of Cruz’ beliefs involves the first amendment. He approves voter ID laws which restricts blacks and other poor Americans from voting. In addition, he would establish Christianity as our national religion in direct violation to the very wording of the amendment.

In general the GOP doesn’t like to play fair; when they do they lose.
