Will Jeb Bush’s New Attack Ads Help His Poll Numbers?

Another Bush

Jeb Bush cannot win the GOP nomination on his own merit. He must demean those ahead of him in the polls and make voters distrust them as possible leaders of the free world.

Donald Trump appears to be unstoppable, regardless of the ignorant remarks coming from his ‘yapper.’ He is polling in the ‘30’s’ in nearly every poll. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are around 16 percent mark, while Bush can only attain a single digit ‘six.’

A Super PAC supporting Bush calling itself ‘Right to Rise USA’ has launched television ads highly critical of all three who are ahead of the former Florida Governor. The first begins with a narrator asking: “When the attacks come here, the person behind this desk will have to protect your family.” It moves to a scenario where Trump, Cruz or Rubio wins the general election.

“Will he be impulsive and reckless, like Donald Trump? Will he have voted to dramatically weaken counter-terrorism surveillance, like Ted Cruz? Will have skipped crucial national-security hearings and votes just to campaign, like Marco Rubio?”

The ad is meant to contrast the three with Bush, who has the support of experienced military leaders.

“Twenty-seven generals and admirals support Jeb Bush because Jeb has the experience and knowledge to protect your family,” the narrator continued.

First of all, notice that not a single domestic issue was presented. All GOP candidates are in opposition to the majority of the American people. But will these ads help Bush significantly? Have fear tactics brainwashed the American people?

I believe it’s time for all the other candidates to consider different tactics. Trump is leading in all four polls in states where the first four events for voters are being held. Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada have caucuses or primaries in February. If Trump wins all four, the GOP is in serious trouble. Although the Republican Party is non-existent and does not represent its original ideologies and philosophy, it could cease to exist in any form.

The GOP has itself to blame for the Trump phenomena. When they became a party of one tactic, attack, and failed to have ideas, they invited him to spew his evil at events such as CPAC. They cheered wildly and stood to applaud his racism, prejudice, and bigotry. This is the same man they helped to create, and now he is their enemy.

As for Jeb Bush, his failure is good for America. He has openly stated that he would institute the same failed policies of his brother, including a rush to war. He would lead us into a full depression, and create more division among our nation’s people.

His ads will undoubtedly fail; all the focus is on Trump, and his supporters reject all others. 59 percent of them said that they would vote for him as a third party candidate. As his numbers grow, it is evident that the extremists are in control of the GOP. I used to think that Ted Cruz was the worst of the worst, and then along came Trump. His campaign of vile hatred and prejudice has invigorated ‘normal’ people, and if he wins the nomination, an unusually large voter turnout will guarantee his loss in the general election.
