Clinton has Plans for America’s Future

Hillary 2016

While the GOP is concerned with derailing Trump, infighting, and exaggerating ISIS’ danger to our nation’s people, Hillary Clinton is actually proposing ideas to repair our nation’s serious domestic problems. Democrats have a small problem; they must make a decision between Clinton and Bernie Sanders. They have two exceptionally qualified candidates who speak about the issues most important to the American people. If they join forces and become the Democrat’s team for 2016, how can any of the unqualified candidates from the GOP stand a chance?

Ms. Clinton has stated her opinions about every issue important to the American people; have any of the 13 residents of the clown car offered one credible idea?

On income inequality and the economy: “Too many families are working harder and harder, but still not getting ahead. Our country is standing again, but we’re not yet running the way we should be. From her first day in office to the last, Hillary Clinton will fight for you and for more take-home pay so you can get ahead and stay ahead.”

Why immigration reform is mandatory: “We have to finally and once and for all fix our immigration system – this is a family issue, it’s an economic issue too, but it is at heart a family issue. If we claim we are for family then we have to pull together and resolve the outstanding issues around our broken immigration system. The American people support comprehensive immigration reform not just because it’s the right thing to do—and it is—but because it will strengthen families, strengthen our economy, and strengthen our country. That’s why we can’t wait any longer, we can’t wait any longer for a path to full and equal citizenship.”

Ms. Clinton would challenge the NRA gun lobby: “I don’t know how we keep seeing shooting after shooting, read about the people murdered because they went to Bible study or they went to the movies or they were just doing their job, and not finally say we’ve got to do something about this.”

About health care: “Affordable health care is a basic human right.”

National security: “I believe the future holds far more opportunities than threats if we exercise creative and confident leadership that enables us to shape global events rather than be shaped by them.”

Her ideas about social security and Medicare: “Now, I will also defend Social Security and Medicare from the efforts of the Republicans to privatize both of them. When I was in the Senate, George Bush came up with a privatization plan. Some of you might remember that. It would have been a disaster. And we defeated it. As your president, I will defend it. I will not let anybody think that they can privatize it. But we’re going to have to make sure that we shore it up so that it is there not just for those who are currently recipients but for generations to come.”

She continues to fight for women’s rights: “Women’s issues are family issues, economic issues, and crucial to our future competitiveness.”

Ms. Clinton has offered her opinions on these and every other issue imaginable; you can read them all on the attached link.

I once respected the GOP and its efforts to protect the rights of all Americans. Its deterioration began in 2001 after the cowardly attacks on 9/11. The politics of fear and pessimism replaced courage and hope. Then in 2010 the Koch brothers created the TEA Party; Republicans were not destroying our nation fast enough.

George H.W. Bush was the last true leader of the Republican Party. He knew how to lead by example. He truly cared for the American people. He had diplomatic skills and compromised when necessary to solve our nation’s problems. He believed in social programs to help those most in need such as the mentally and physically challenged. He granted amnesty to thousands of undocumented workers because it was the right thing to do, and it aided the economy.

Where in the GOP is a man such as this today? He most certainly is not Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, or Jeb Bush. The radicalization of the GOP has decimated the party and also destroyed our government.

I don’t believe that the GOP can repair itself; it is on the road to annihilation.
