Inexperienced and ignorant Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas wrote a letter to the leaders of Iran threatening them that any nuclear agreement with the United States could be rebuked by Congress. His unprecedented and traitorous action would have resulted in his expulsion from the Senate 20 years ago.
A lack of experience and knowledge is dangerous for the American people and their civil rights. He has joined other unqualified Senators such as Marco Rubio and wants to give the NSA more power to spy on our nation’s citizens without a court order. In other words, they want to repeal the fourth amendment.
Our founding fathers foresaw the danger of a government which sought to control its nation’s people through the invasion of privacy. But some in the GOP such as Cotton do not respect the Constitution. The influence of these TEA Party darlings is creating a dangerous and tenuous situation for the American people. Political ambitions are trumping the safety, freedom, and security of the American people.
The move by GOP voters to elect inexperienced and unqualified candidates has broken our government. They have elected ambitious men and women who promise much and do nothing. The little they do while holding office is destructive to the American way of life. Sadly, right wing voters listen to the propaganda machine called FOX Noise. They are not aware of the truth.
The United States, as created by our founding fathers, is on the brink of destruction. The principles and dreams or our forefathers continue to be ignored by many of our elected officials. These self-serving legislators bow to their masters; special interests void the desires and needs of the majority. Income inequality is on the incline, although working class members of the GOP electorate are ignoring this fact.
Cotton does not care about the people of Arkansas or the citizens of his country. He is concerned with his own career and serving his owners.
Until 2001, our nation was led by men and women who were talented. Diplomacy and negotiation solved problems both internationally and domestically. Today those who fail to work in Washington are quick to take rash action without information and a consideration of the facts; they use emotional baggage to retain their seats in the Congress and Senate.
Cotton would fail at running a lemonade stand. He would jump to conclusions after his first sale and destroy the business before nightfall. He would find a way to owe his customers money.
Benedict Arnold begat a great, great, great grandson, and he is alive and well in our nation’s Capital.
