Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are twins separated at birth. They have the same principles, or lack of; they are bigoted; and they both seek constant attention. Oh, and I forgot, they are arrogant and irritating.

On Thursday, Putin made a statement about Trump, calling him “a very bright and talented man” and “the absolute leader of the presidential race.” Okay, now I’m questioning Putin’s intelligence. Trump has not presented one plausible idea; how can he possibly say that Trump is intelligent. Maybe Putin likes ignorance, and that’s why he and President Obama are not close; he hates him for his intellect.

In October, Trump had praise for the former KGB operative.

“I think that I would probably get along with him very well,” Mr. Trump said of Mr. Putin in October. “And I don’t think you’d be having the kind of problems that you’re having right now.” Really?

Maybe I’m not seeing reality here. It is possible that Putin is playing a game and interfering in the political spectacle which is the GOP. Is Putin being sarcastic? I do not agree with many of Putin’s policies, but I always believed that he was an intelligent man. No one with an average IQ could consider Trump as a man qualified to lead the world’s only super power. He would have Trump for a midday snack.

I could see Trump living in Russia; he doesn’t believe in the principles of our founding fathers. He would rebuild America as a totalitarian state. It would immediately become a plutocracy in which he and his cronies would pass laws beneficial to the wealthy, and continue the demise of the middle class. Unemployment would rise as the number of those living in poverty dramatically increased.

Trump’s followers are less educated, and ill informed. In the beginning I praised them for making a statement that they disapproved of the others in the clown car. Now I know I was mistaken; they actually agree with him and join him in his hatred of America.

Russia would be a perfect place to live if you hated freedom and believed that only white people should receive privileges. Donald Trump could likely become elected as a mayor, or maybe an officer in the new KGB.
