If you want a definitive reason why our government is broken, just listen to the Republican presidential candidates. They are criticizing the bipartisan budget agreement accomplished by the legislature this week. Two of the four leading candidates are TEA Party darlings who promised the Koch brothers that they would never compromise. It is obvious that a Republican president would completely destroy our government.
A lack of experience and knowledge is extremely dangerous, especially in today’s world. But that is not stopping the GOP presidential wannabees from criticizing a subject about which they have no knowledge.
Marco Rubio may be the biggest hypocrite of all. He has stated that if he were president he would raise defense spending to one-trillion dollars, and that the only issue he would be concerned with is national security.
If Trump, Cruz, (Trump Jr.), or Rubio are nominated and eventually elected, our nation must raise the white flag; the United States would be nothing but a footnote in history.
“This is Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan passing the Democrat agenda, funding Obamacare, funding amnesty, expanding low-skilled immigration so we’re driving down wages, we’re costing people jobs,” Senator Ted Cruz of Texas said on Laura Ingraham’s radio program. “It’s an absolute betrayal. It’s why people are furious and frustrated.”
Cruz is forever spinning the truth. The people are ‘furious and frustrated’ because he has failed the American people. His extremist views have caused more harm to our nation than any other legislator in history, including his idol Joseph McCarthy. His efforts to shut down the government in 2013 were traitorous. Cruz invokes evangelists, but he obviously does not believe in Christianity.
“If anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker Ryan,” said Donald J. Trump, who is leading most polls for the Republican nomination. “The American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare.”
This is what Trump does; he is all talk and no substance. Even the late night talk show hosts have ceased using Trump’s ridiculous rhetoric to entertain; he is not funny anymore. Trump is acting more like a dictator than a man seeking the presidency.
The American people must vote wisely in 2016. If the voters elect a buffoon or a TEA Party darling, our government will continue its demise. Accomplishing nothing will be the norm. If one of these losers is elected, a second revolution will begin within the first year. It will be quiet at first, and then grow into protests across the nation. Businesses will be shut down, and commerce will come to a halt.
Thanks to the NRA, these protesters will all be armed with assault rifles and ready to fight the police who will attempt to remove them from the streets. These protests will not end until the president and his cronies are removed from office.
Our second President John Adams said: “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”
All of the GOP presidential wannabees have proven that they have no concern for 95 percent of the American people. They are serving their masters and ignoring the working class.
Republicans exist through denial and ignorance. Their demographics are shrinking, not growing. They will lose the Hispanic, black, and women’s vote to Hillary Clinton. They will lose millennials, (18-29), to Bernie Sanders. They will only retain the rich, white vote, and evangelicals; and that’s all they deserve.
