There is a new contest in America. American Idol is over; the Voice is becoming mundane; Miss America’s ratings are disappointing. This new contest is between two disgusting men who are equally pathetic. The winner will be crowned ‘The Most Vile Person in America.’

In one corner is Martin Shkreli. He is the arrogant and obnoxious punk who became CEO of a pharmaceutical company and immediately raised the price of a life-saving HIV drug 5,000 percent; from $13.50 per pill to $750.00. Now he has been indicted for securities fraud; every man and woman in America are praying for a conviction.

In the other corner is Donald Trump. Until he declared himself a candidate for the presidency, he was nothing more than an attention whore who had an obnoxious personality and a loud mouth. He has ascended to a new level of depravity. He continually spews hatred and fuels racism and bigotry. His latest attacks raise the level of vile behavior, and give him a small edge over Shkreli.

“Even her race to Obama, she was gonna beat Obama,” the GOP frontrunner told a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “I don’t know who would be worse, I don’t know. How does it get worse? But she was gonna beat — she was favored to win — and she got schlonged. She lost.” Really? Now he’s lowered himself to verbal sexual abuse.

He didn’t stop there. He criticized a basic human need and made an even bigger fool of himself. Hillary Clinton needed a bathroom break.

“What happened to her?” Trump wondered. “I’m watching the debate, and she disappeared.” He then solved his own riddle: “I know where she went. It’s disgusting. I don’t want to talk about it. No, it’s too disgusting. Don’t say it, it’s disgusting. We want to be very straight up, OK?” Really?

It’s going to be difficult not to simply hand him the trophy.

Every time he opens his mouth it appears that he is attempting to lose the race for the nomination. Normal, humane supporters would have removed their allegiance by now, but his followers are of the same mindset as Trump.

Trump not only has no ‘class,’ he has no morals. He hates the principles of America. Sadly, the people of other nations believe that he expresses the lack of values of all of our nation’s people.

I’ve made my decision; Trump wins the title, and it isn’t even close. It’s a big possibility that Shkreli will end up in jail, and be ostracized by his peers. But Trump continues to rise in the polls. We may be forced to endure his disgusting rhetoric for a lengthy period time thanks to the media.

The TEA Party pro-created Trump and the media feeds his narcissism. The implosion of the GOP caused by extremists encouraged voters to seek a candidate outside of the political establishment. The media thrives on sensationalism, no matter how horrible it might be, and found a treasure chest in Trump.

Trump is destroying the GOP, but the blame belongs to party leaders who were unable to control rebel forces who began the demise.

Trump can hold up his trophy and be proud. He truly is the ‘Most Vile Person in America.’
