Huckabee more Extreme than Cruz?

faux-Christian

Mike Huckabee may be the only person in America who believes he has even a minute chance to win the GOP nomination for the presidency. Regardless of facts, and we all know that Republicans hate facts, his Super PAC is spending money in Iowa attacking Ted Cruz for not being far enough to the right. Really?

The standard bearer for the Christian religious right is telling voters in Iowa that Cruz is not strongly opposed to same-sex marriage. Whether or not his message will be well-received by evangelists remains to be seen. However, here are some of the facts.

Although recent revelations prove that Cruz is a panderer on the subject, both presidential wannabees are in opposition to the majority of Americans on the issue. The Pew research poll taken in 2015 reveals the fact that 55 percent of the American people support same-sex marriage and only 39 percent oppose the rights of the LGBT community. But Republicans have never been concerned with the opinions of the majority; we don’t pay for their privileged lives.

Cruz issued a response and lied to Iowa’s voters as he claimed to support the Constitution.

“And that cuts across the whole spectrum — whether it’s defending the First Amendment, defending religious liberty, stopping courts from making public policy issues that are left to the people. And I also think the 10th Amendment to the Constitution cuts across a lot of issues,” said Cruz. (The 10th amendment defines state’s rights).

Cruz and Huckabee both deny that same-sex marriage is supported by the 14th amendment which guarantees ‘equal protection under the law,’ although the Supreme Court has ruled on the matter.

Huckabee is polling at less than two percent, and his desperation is understandable. He has promised that if he doesn’t finish in third place at the end of the Iowa caucuses, he will withdraw from the campaign. Trump’s numbers are over 35 percent followed by Cruz with 18.6 percent and Rubio with 11.6. No one else is in double digits.

It would be sad to see Mike Huckabee go if he weren’t such a religious hypocrite. He does not believe in the Constitution or the principles which once made our nation great, but far worse, he does not believe in Jesus Christ, or at the very least His instructions to his followers. Huckabee is nothing more than a pretend Christian, using religion to obtain votes.

Religious extremism has proven to be the greatest danger to the people of the free world. Both Huckabee and Cruz are dangerous to the American way of life and the very continued existence of our nation.
