Alabama Adds to its Lead as the Most Prejudiced State in the Union

Alabama

There is simply no contest. Alabama is the most racist, bigoted, homophobic, and misogynist state in the union. They should be proud. Other states, not located in the South, such as well as Texas, Indiana, and Arizona have made unbelievable efforts to unseat Alabama, but they have failed to achieve the level of shame secured by the ‘Yellowhammer State’ alone. (What the hell is a ‘yellowhammer?’)

The chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, Roy S. Moore, has decided to become a traitor to the United States of America; he will ignore a decision made by the Supreme Court and therefore deny the law of the land; our Constitution.

The situation involves his homophobia, although he claims it is based on ‘Christian rights.’ First of all, I want to tell the dishonorable judge that our nation is not ruled by the Christian religious right; at least not yet, depending on the outcome of the 2016 election. Secondly, he must find a time machine and move backwards into the 1950’s, a time in which he would obviously enjoy. Our nation is simply joining the other developed nations in the world and moving into the 21st century.

Moore has ordered the cessation of marriage licenses to same-sex couples. But in doing so he has created confusion in his state by requiring state employees to violate the Supreme Court order which recognized equal rights for the LGBT community.

Moore: “Many probate judges are issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in accordance with Obergefell; others are issuing marriage licenses only to couples of the opposite gender or have ceased issuing all marriage licenses,” he wrote. “This disparity affects the administration of justice in this state.”

United States attorneys in Birmingham and Mobile issued the following statement.

“Government officials are free to disagree with the law, but not to disobey it,” Joyce White Vance and Kenyen R. Brown said. “This issue has been decided by the highest court in the land, and Alabama must follow that law.”

But don’t expect Alabama to follow the law. The state government remains engaged in the Civil War, and has never been recognized as a law-abiding state which supports the United States of America.

Is this another case of religious extremism, or is it simply another bigoted individual who fears his own masculinity? I can understand his order if it is based on his own homophobia; many Americans remain ignorant and are fearful of people they know nothing about. If it based on his Christian beliefs, then he is seeking to repeal the first amendment. Moore is also proving that he does not believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings. He has obviously never read the entire bible; only the sections which support his extremist attitude.

America does not have the patience or time to allow one delusional man to take attention away from our nation’s ills. (Of course this excludes Donald Trump.)

Maybe it’s time for those such as myself who do not believe in organized religion to step up and demand that the principals of our founding fathers be upheld. America needs true patriots.

Tell me what you think.
