One thing the American people can count on from the major media is misdirection and inaccurate information. It is unable to tell the truth for fear of losing ratings and sponsorship; I don’t have that problem. At a ratio of five-to-one, Donald Trump has received the most coverage of any candidate. Thanks to failed efforts at a debate and the media, few Americans are aware of the positions of his rivals.
Trump is far from the most interesting story in 2016. If the media did its job and focused on the important fact of this campaign season, the American people would be informed of a major change about to occur in our nation’s political structure.
The Koch brothers, under their misnomer, “Americans for Prosperity,” have established a political structure far superior to that of the Republican Party. They have more political agents and offices across the nation than the GOP. They will spend nearly $900 million to buy elections for conservatives in 2016. The RNC’s contribution fails in comparison.
What is their purpose, other than their obvious greed? When they created the TEA Party, their ultimate goal was to obtain a divorce from the GOP and control the political system in America. Although they fail to offer a single qualified candidate, they have mastered fear tactics, innuendo, misdirection, and blatant falsehoods.
I remain uncertain if the presidential election in 2016 is their ultimate goal. I predict that the Koch brother’s main purpose is to obtain additional seats in the House and Senate from real Republicans who now occupy them. ‘Red’ states will rally behind their candidates as true Republicans slip into anonymity. They want to become a new and destructive force to the American way of life. They will not rest until our nation devolves into a plutocracy.
This is where the attention should be directed; Trump is a diversion, and although he was once entertaining, he is now merely a buffoon and a symbol of the evil in America.
If the media had not focused on Trump alone, he would not be leading in the polls. In addition, attempts by the RNC to derail him have added to his success. The first faux-debate by FOX Noise was truly an embarrassment. A direct attempt to remove Trump from the picture was thinly disguised. The irony here is that they actually aided in Trump’s rise in the polls and greater influence within the GOP.
I am sadly aware that the average voter is uninformed; and that too can be blamed on the media. It has distracted the American people from the dirty underworld of politics. It has not performed its duty and informed the American people that we are no longer a Democratic Republic. If they told the truth, Bernie Sanders would be swept into office. However, just like many of the candidates, it supports Wall Street and the one-percent, who support it.
When the division between our nation’s people was encouraged during the Bush Administration, it became far easier for candidates to win elections. The creation of ‘red’ and ‘blue’ states was intentional, and successful.
The Koch brothers have outsmarted the RNC. They intentionally destroyed our government by ordering their elected officials to refuse compromise and just say ‘no.’ Now voters can blame the Republican Party for our nation’s failures and are led away from the facts. When the TEA Party separates from the GOP, the Koch brothers will have attained their goal, which began a decade ago.
