It wasn’t even close. I began searching for the greatest evil in our nation; those who place their personal ambitions ahead of the American people. My search was far shorter than I had imagined; all I had to do was read comments from the driver and passengers in the clown car. I was unable to discover a single positive thought or proposal from any of them. I read words of anger and hatred, and almost every claim made by these presidential wannabees was a falsehood.

The driver of the clown car is a boastful man whose rhetoric is empty. “We’re gonna fix this; we’re gonna do that; we’re gonna make America great again.” We hear all of this from a man who knows nothing about our government. And he’s saying nothing. He offers no plausible solutions to our nation’s problems.

Trump’s supporters are men and women who have shunned the other candidates. They are simply tired of a broken government caused by elected officials who just say ‘no’ instead of seeking compromise to solve the needs of the majority.

Ted Cruz claims to support the Constitution; and that’s a lie. He supports the second amendment, but would repeal the first, fourth, fourteenth and fifteenth. This religious extremist has openly stated that he would force all Americans to become Christian, and disallow immigration by anyone who was a Muslim. He is a danger to the principles of our founding fathers.

Marco Rubio lacks a work ethic, and has no ideas for the future of our nation. His only tactic has been to continuously attack the President and Hillary Clinton with half-truths and innuendo.

The remainder of the passengers are not worth talking about. Among them you have a former neurosurgeon who has professed his ignorance about science. Another is a former governor who has an infamous last name, and has proven himself unqualified to live in his brother’s former residence. Another former governor, from Arkansas, has directed his campaign solely at Christian extremists. Hewlett Packard gave the reigns of their company to a woman who would eventually destroy its financial security and lay off 30,000 employees. Then there’s a self-proclaimed Libertarian who was so extreme that his poll numbers never rose above single digits.

Not the driver nor a single passenger has mentioned the decline of the middle class, a fair plan for taxation, a solution to reform immigration, women’s rights, or a solution to corporate outsourcing of American jobs. None of them have offered a solution for ISIS or other terrorist groups other than to place our finest young men and women into another unwinnable war. All of them have ignored the violent nature of our country while supporting the gun lobby. They refuse to restrict the purchase of lethal weapons for individuals the FBI has placed on their ‘terrorist watch list;’ more than 20,000 people.

Therefore, I am ashamed to give the award for the most evil persons in the United States to everyone in the clown car. Our nation cannot survive if its future is placed in the hands of one of these unqualified and uncaring individuals.
