Extremists who claim to represent the Republican Party have actually destroyed it. Although the name remains, it is far from the Grand Old Party of the past which helped to make our country great. Donald Trump, the TEA Party, Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter are members of the extremist party and must not call themselves Republicans. But the worst of all is the man who has encouraged hate and divisiveness within our nation for years; Rush Limbaugh.
Limbaugh calls himself a conservative, but he’s far worse than that. Conservative: “tending to emphasize the importance of preserving traditional cultural and religious values, and to oppose change, esp. sudden change.” Limbaugh wants to remove our nation’s principles and move it backwards. He openly hates everyone and promotes racism, bigotry, homophobia, and misogyny.
South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is a rising star in the Republican Party. She represents the best from the right side of the aisle. She shuns anger and hatred, and is intelligent enough to know that only deliberation and compromise will solve our nation’s problems. Governor Haley is the antithesis of the pompous Limbaugh, and that’s why he hates her.
After Governor Haley gave the response to President Obama’s patriotic State of the Union Tuesday, this was part of the blowhard’s response.
“Nikki Haley is actually the story today, in a whole bunch of different ways. There’s so much here to say about the Nikki Haley response. It’s the first time in my life I can remember the response to the State of the Union not going after the president but rather going off the front-runner of, in this case, her own party. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. And it is quite telling to note where in the Drive-By Media and in the conservative media today she’s being hailed.”
If the term conservative has come to represent extremists and obstructionist, the Republican Party must remove them from their midst if it wishes to be a force in our government. The angry and divisive rhetoric of Trump and Cruz must cease to influence likely GOP voters. They do not represent America; they are un-patriotic and seek the destruction of our Constitution.
It is apparent that the Koch brothers, who created the obstructionist TEA Party, are planning to remove their candidates from the Republican Party and create their own. This is not an act which attempts to make America great once again; it is intended to re-create our nation into a plutocracy.
TEA Party candidates are the least qualified and knowledgeable members of our government. They fail the American people on a daily basis.
Nikki Haley shares the values of great Republican leaders such as Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, and George H.W. Bush. She represents the people of her state and the values of her party. This is what America needs if it seeks a return to greatness.
When Limbaugh, Coulter, Palin, Trump, and others leave this earth, the people of our nation and the world will have received a gift. They can form their own party of hatred in Hades.
