Thursday night I tried to watch another pretend debate by the Republican Party. If the presidential wannabees were not embarrassed as they were making fools of themselves, they are less intelligent than I previously believed. The first question was asked of the most extremist of all of the candidates, Ted Cruz. He failed to answer a single part of the question and launched into a senseless attack about a non-issue when ten Navy soldiers were detained by the government of Iran. The evening only moved into more idiotic rhetoric which contained a lack of context for our nation’s problems. Failing to answer direct questions was not a surprise as the maneuvered the ‘moderators’ throughout the evening.
I didn’t expect much because the fake debate was held by the unknown FOX business channel. What I expected was far less than a futile attempt at an actual debate. The entire FOX network has proven that it has nothing to do with an actual news broadcast, revealing its failed attempt at an effort to be a tool of the GOP.
Once again the fake debate devolved into an agenda of attacks upon each other and failed attacks at the President and Hillary Clinton.
I would be embarrassed to claim to have an affiliation with the Republican Party today; it no longer exists.
The term ‘clown car’ is far too kind for these individuals who are making failed attempts to have the American people consider them as the leader of our nation. The sad truth is that Donald Trump is less of a stain on our nation than the other six failures on the platform this evening.
Not a single member of the once Grand Old Party had anything to say which was constructive for our nation’s future.
This was the saddest of the six faux-debates, and I am ashamed of the GOP.
