Ted Cruz: “Christian First, American Second”

Evil

Ted Cruz wants to be the President of the United States but he would not represent me. In a recent interview the TEA Party extremist denied the first amendment and gave additional proof that he is not qualified to lead our nation. He told a reporter that he was a “Christian first, and an American second.”

Cruz claims to be an expert on Constitutional Law. If that is true he must be aware that the Constitution forbids a national religion. The President of the United States must represent every man, woman, and child in our nation and cannot be selective. He would deny Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and atheists their right to practice their religion or none at all.

Recently Donald Trump remarked about Cruz, saying that “nobody likes him.” That is very likely the truth; there is nothing about his character or career history that inspires voters. He has no support from the Republican Party, but Rush Limbaugh praises him. He does have one fan, much to his dismay.

Former Kansas Senator Bob Dole recently said that he would support Donald Trump but not Ted Cruz as the Republican Party’s nominee. Senator Dole said that “the party would suffer “cataclysmic” and “wholesale losses” if Mr. Cruz were the nominee, and that Donald J. Trump would fare better.

He continued: “I question his allegiance to the party,” Mr. Dole said of Mr. Cruz. “I don’t know how often you’ve heard him say the word ‘Republican’ — not very often.” Instead, Mr. Cruz uses the word “conservative,” Mr. Dole said, before offering up a different word for Mr. Cruz: “extremist.”

“I don’t know how he’s going to deal with Congress,” he said. “Nobody likes him.”

Mr. Dole is correct; his loyalty is to the TEA Party and its owners the Koch brothers, not to America or the Republican Party. In no manner does he resemble Mr. Dole or other great Republicans of the past; he cannot claim the title.

Cruz’ comments about ‘the establishment’ tells us that he hates Washington, but continues to seek our nation’s highest office. He is an ambitious hypocrite, not a patriot. He listens to a man behind a pulpit and not to the American people.

Whether they be terrorists who claim to be Muslims or Christians, all seek to change the world for their own purpose. Cruz denies the facts, and one of those facts is that Christian terrorists exist around the world and commit the same atrocities as ISIS or al-Qaeda.

Donald Trump cannot call himself a true ‘American.’ And now that he and ‘Caribou Barbie’ have joined forces, his hatred for the American way of life has accelerated.

But Cruz is far more dangerous. He has been the leader of the party of ‘no.’ His extremism and obstructionist tactics are one of the prime reasons our government is broken.

Cruz is a Faux-Christian, who, by his own words, does not believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. He is judgmental and promotes hatred an elitism.

The 2016 election will be one of the most important in our nation’s history. The number and severity of our nation’s domestic problems must be addressed. America must have a leader who represents all of the nation’s people.

The future is in your hands. Your vote must count, and you must vote intelligently.
