The United States of America is not a perfect country. All nation’s must have some form of government, and that alone destroys perfection. Our country is no long the greatest nation in the world; we’re not even close. Of all the mistakes our leaders have made in the last 240 years, believing that we must be ‘the world’s policeman’ is the most egregious.
Our government’s imperialistic attitude was not the result of altruistic thought. Our leaders have acted more like bullies than policemen.
Let’s be truthful here; our nation is no longer good at waging war. We have become losers. We lose because our cause is not just and does great harm to our nation’s people. We lost in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and continue to lose in Afghanistan; America’s longest war.
But none of this stops the GOP presidential wannabees from their intention to send our military once again into the Middle East.
The Party’s leader, Donald Trump says that he would ‘carpet bomb’ ISIS into submission. And now his puppet ‘Caribou Barbie’ supports him. Cruz, Rubio, Bush, and Christie all join him in his desire to place our nation into another unwinnable war. They have obviously forgotten how that worked for us in Vietnam.
Our leaders created the problems in the Middle East, but we cannot fix them. We do not have the ability to win this type of war, and the American people have ‘no stomach’ for it.
Republicans don’t believe in it, but the only way to defeat terrorists is to amass great numbers of allies in the region, and cease demeaning the religions of other nations. ISIS and al-Qaeda win if Trump, Cruz, and others succeed in influencing the American people to hate all Muslims. The truth they don’t want us to know is that both those claiming to be Muslims and Christians are responsible for atrocities in many nations. These men and women are not intelligent enough to be aware that using religion is a ploy; they don’t believe in the Quran or the Bible. They are opportunistic thugs who know that if they can win support from the people who follow the religions they claim to practice; they cannot be defeated.
If anger and hatred continue to rule the minds of far too many of our nation’s people America as it was meant to be will be no more.
