“Based on @MegynKelly’s conflict of interest and bias she should not be allowed to be a moderator of the next debate.”
The former was a tweet from Donald Trump, but does anyone believe that FOX Noise will adhere to the ‘Donald’s’ wishes? I certainly hope not.
The GOP debates have not been entertaining. There has been no concrete discussion of the issues, and who wants to watch two hours of spoiled children bickering? Let’s get serious.
In four days the clown car will be on the stage once again, but this one I may actually watch; but for only one reason.
During the first debate moderated by FOX Noise, it was obvious from the first question that it would be an attempt to derail Donald Trump. Not only did Reince Priebus and Roger Ailes fail miserably, they placed all their hopes on a faux-journalist who lacked the intellect to compete with Trump. The result was a rise in his poll numbers.
Megyn Kelly does not have the intellect or experience to destroy the campaign of anyone, nonetheless a braggart and loud-mouthed man such as Trump.
What will we see on January 28th? The one big change is that Roger Ailes is no longer in control of FOX Noise. Rupert Murdoch has retaken the controls of the fake news network. Will he instruct Kelly to attack Trump once again? God, I hope so. We know the other candidates will lambaste him whenever possible, but it is unlikely that anything will change.
With the Iowa Caucus on February 1st there will be a great deal of interest in this faux-debate. Trump and Cruz are in a virtual dead heat in Iowa, and evangelicals will likely decide the outcome as they did in 2008 and 2012. By the way, although Huckabee and Santorum were declared the winners, everything was downhill for them from that point on.
Ordinarily on a Thursday evening I would be watching reruns of ‘Modern Family,’ ‘Fixer Upper,’ or ‘Criminal Minds,’ but the contest between Kelly and Trump might provide more laughs.
