Seventh Republican Debate: The Excitement is Underwhelming

1-28

Tonight the seventh Republican debate will take place in Iowa. Calling it a debate is a stretch. The first six have been nothing but attacks on each other and Democrats; the issues have received little or no attention. What makes tonight’s spectacle more interesting is the fact that the leading GOP candidate will not be driving the clown car, and will not be center stage.

My question is; does it really matter if the leader of the Republican Party is not present for another fiasco presented by the RNC? After six sideshows dominated by personal attacks, should we expect anything better when the event is hosted by the fake news network FOX Noise?

This is not a serious effort by the RNC. They have no concern for America; they seek power and personal success. By allowing FOX to host another debate is proof that the Republican Party is no more than a poor replica of a once Grand Old Party.

The first ‘debate’ was moderated by the same three fake journalists who will be the ringmasters tonight. That event was a conspiracy by the right wing propaganda machine and the RNC to derail Trump. We will likely see more of the same tonight; but FOX denies that fact; (something for which they have lots of practice).

“There’s not some grand plan other than let’s be professional and move past it,” Kelly, host of “The Kelly File.”

Guaranteeing that there will not be a debate about the issues, moderator Chris Wallace said:
“In a general sense one of the things we want to explore is, is it a good thing or a bad thing that [Trump or Cruz] might be the Republican nominee? Conversely why is it that the so called ‘establishment candidates,’ the governors and senators, have so far lagged behind,” Wallace said. “That’s going to be one of the questions: Where is the Republican Party? More importantly, where is the Republican voter?” Journalism is dead and buried on FOX.

There will surely be many attacks against Trump, but how many accusations will Cruz, who is number two in the polls, receive from the other desperate presidential wannabees?

Cruz is an easy target. He is responsible for shutting down the government in 2013, and is a religious extremist who says that he would listen to his minister before the American people. He received undisclosed loans from Wall Street for his Senate campaign. He also threatened to shut down the government once again after viewing false records of Planned Parenthood proceedings produced by an anti-abortion group.

If you decide to watch the show tonight, I’m not sure if you should keep Pepto Bismol or a strong caffeine product nearby. The schoolyard bickering may upset your stomach, or it will be so boring without Trump that you’ll have to take something to stay awake.
