The Seventh Republican “Debate” Harmed Our Nation Forever

Kelly

The seventh pretend-debate by the Republican Party began in similar fashion to the first. Megyn Kelly asked Ted Cruz about what he thought about Donald Trump’s absence, which was an opportunity for a direct attack on the party’s front runner. She didn’t ask a question about the issues or the extremist’s position regarding the serious situations which involve our nation. She chose to play the bimbo to Roger Ailes failed fake news network once again.

After Cruz’ personal attack on Trump, which was too sad to report, the next two questions given to Rubio and Bush resulted is false statements and unfair attacks about a president who rescued our nation from the policies of the worst president in our nation’s 240-year history, and what could have been the destruction of our nation. By the way; he was called a Republican.

Less than ten minutes into this debacle I was embarrassed for my country and for our political system. Not a single issue was offered for discussion. The process was entirely involved with attacks on a missing Trump and each other while there was no basis for the rhetoric of these ambitious men. FOX was living up to its purpose; a propaganda machine for the RNC.

Before the ‘debate’ continued, I had already become ashamed for the way our political system has demeaned our nation and how a once great country has been destroyed by ambitious and uncaring political figures who deny the principles of our founding fathers and the Constitution which promised all of our people equality and freedom. Politics of lies, fear, and hatred have replaced the promise of America upon which our forefathers had founded their dream.

It was immediately obvious to any intelligent person that this was going to be an effort to save not only FOX Noise, but the existence of the GOP.

Although the Republican Party is non-existent today as history has proven, our nation continues to need a second political party which is concerned for the future of our nation and offers solutions for the problems of all of our people, not just special interests.

Nothing was debated during the first half of FOX’s tragic effort at a debate. If there was a winner in the first half, it was Rand Paul who defended the fourth amendment and the protection of the rights of the American people. Cruz was unfortunately Cruz, suggesting ‘carpet bombing’ of ISIS; he obviously forgot about Vietnam and how that failed. Rubio continued ‘sabre rattling’ and called for another unwinnable war. Bush once more displayed his lack of intellect and his support for his brother’s destructive administration.

What was missing in the evening’s farce was the lack of concern for the people of Flint, Michigan. Because Rick Snyder is a Republican governor, they ignored the fact that his non-action was a result of failed GOP fiscal policy mixed with a racist and elitist outcome.

As a group they also denied the need for reform in law enforcement. They criticized President Obama and Hillary Clinton for their support of eliminating excessive force upon the black community. The candidates denied that better training is a must.

Making up their own ‘facts,’ they all attacked Planned Parenthood.

What they did was focus on ISIS and ignore the people of our nation. Only John Kasich exhibited logic, and stated that only a coalition such as was established during the Reagan administration would be successful in defeating ISIS.

The question is always asked; ‘who won the debate?’ I don’t know what the media will say, but I believe that the American people lost. As usual there was lots of rhetoric but no solutions. This group lacks any qualifications which would allow them to lead the free world.

Whether you like Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, or not, the American people are forced to consider them in 2016. The GOP’s offerings are sad and an embarrassment for the American people. We are witnessing the end of the Grand Old Party which helped to make our nation great in the past; this will cause great harm to our nation in the future.
