Trump Continues to be Blamed for Republican Implosion

Poll Leader

It is far from fact that Donald Trump is the reason the GOP is imploding. The truth is that it began in 2010 with the intrusion of the TEA Party into American politics. Trump is but a manifestation of cause and effect. For the last five years the once Grand Old Party began to lose its way. Without leadership, Republicans remained in name only.

Trump’s battle with FOX Noise is a perfect example of why he may actually be good for Republicans. The extremist fake news network has been instrumental in dividing the American people while moving farther and farther to the right. Its ratings are moving is the wrong or right direction, depending on your opinion of the right wing propaganda machine.

Trump may give a gift to the American people; the end of the TEA Party. John Boehner refused to challenge a small group of Representatives whose policy was to say ‘no’ and reject compromise. The effort of these radicals to create a ‘one-party’ system has destroyed our government.

Trump’s supporters are symbolic of the American people’s disgust with a Congress filled with rhetoric, but which accomplishes nothing. I do not agree with Trump and his brash statements, but he is the only GOP candidate who is saying anything. The others continue to make false accusations against the President and Hillary Clinton but fail to give concrete statements about what they would do if they were working in the Oval Office. Today, they attack each other as the polls change and the race has virtually eliminated all but two candidates.

The Republican mainstream is not pleased. Their intent was to have Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio as their nominee. Bush was eliminated months ago when he made voters aware of the fact that he is less intelligent than his brother, and would re-institute Bush 43’s failed policies. Rubio is not a hard worker, and has run a lackluster campaign. In the faux-debates, he demonstrated that his lack of experience is a huge problem for voters. He has no accomplishments as a Senator, and has failed to perform his job 40 percent of the time; not to mention the fact that he is a TEA Party darling.

Blaming Trump for the destruction of the GOP is a diversion. The party of old, white, rich men is floundering. Its demographics have not changed, and its base is dying; literally. Led by the TEA Party it has moved too far to the right, preventing effective government.

I believe that history will prove that Trump is good for the nation, and good for Republicans; but only the primaries and history will tell.
