This is what we get when unqualified and ambitious men are allowed to seek office in our government. The United States has the worst government in the Western World; and it could get worse. Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio want to live in the White House, but they would rebuild it into a castle.
Trump and Rubio revealed their ignorance and a lack of knowledge of our nation’s past yesterday.
Trump accused the President of the ultimate sin of not being a Christian. He criticized Mr. Obama for visiting a mosque and speaking with American Muslims who feel forgotten in our nation thanks to the three leading GOP candidates. Trump quipped; “maybe he feels comfortable there.”
Rubio continues to reveal his immaturity, and his opinion of the President’s visit was a blatant lie. Republicans have intentionally divided our nation for years through fear tactics, but Rubio gave that fact a spin.
“I’m tired of being divided against each other for political reasons like this president’s done,” Rubio said. “Always pitting people against each other. Always.”
He continued his denial that the GOP is bigoted and continues to reject all Muslims.
“Look at today – he gave a speech at a mosque,” Rubio continued. “Oh, you know, basically implying that America is discriminating against Muslims. Of course there’s going to be discrimination in America of every kind. But the bigger issue is radical Islam. And by the way, radical Islam poses a threat to Muslims themselves.”
While George W. Bush was the most divisive president in history, President Obama has attempted to reunite our nation’s people as he recognizes ‘Americans’ and not favoring Christians only, as the GOP constantly promises.
What Trump and Rubio are not talking about is that shortly after 9/11 George W. Bush visited a mosque to ensure Muslims that our nation did not consider all followers of Islam to be our enemies. I think he was a Republican.
Putting it bluntly; I’m tired of the bullshit. Attacks and a lack of substance describe this year’s Republican candidates. Not one of them offers solutions for our nation’s problems because they have none. They would tear down our nation, not build it for the future.
If you are as tired of the party of fear, anger, and hatred as I am, please let them know. I want an American President living in the White House, not a Totalitarian. I will no longer allow myself to be ruled, I want to be served. Congress and our president must work for me once again instead of for themselves and their owners.
I am a fairly mellow person, but I cannot accept hypocrisy and lies any longer.
