In last night’s ‘debate,’ Rubio was exposed for his criticism of President Obama’s effort to help America join the rest of the world for the benefit of the majority, and cemented Rubio’s intentions to make our nation a plutocracy. He also gave credence to Chris Christie’s claim that he is totally unqualified to lead our nation.
Rubio also reconfirmed his ardent desire to place our nation into another war. He, and others, denounced the efforts of our President to keep our nation from another war which we cannot win and will once again result in the loss of thousands of lives and an economic depression.
Not one of the GOP candidates offered a viable solution for international relations and denied the success of their predecessors who acted in a manner similar to Barrack Obama. This includes, Eisenhower, and Reagan, who were true Republicans.
The most embarrassing moment for me was Ted Cruz. He advocated increased spending for immigration, such as walls, helicopter patrols, and electronic devices which would add to the deficit, although he claims to be the leading conservative. He also ignored the concern for the humanity of nearly 12 million undocumented workers in our nation who are waiting for a reasonable and compassionate solution.
Cruz also displayed his ignorance when he claimed that ‘socialized medicine’ in other nations does not work. I have relatives living in Canada who would never decide to live in the United States and leave their more than satisfactory system behind. Lies seem to be the standard for all of these candidates.
My overall impression of the eighth faux-debate is that it was more vile and less informative than the past seven. Desperation is on the rise, and all of them refuse to mention even a small concern for the American public. Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders speak every day about their intentions to represent the majority of the American public and deny the continuation of the dominance of special interests.
Rubio continued his support of the one-percent by denying that they should share in the American dream, and allow the poverty level to increase as the wealthy experience increased profits.
As the evening continued, Cruz once again displayed either his lack of knowledge of American history or his ignorance of facts. He said that our nation has always been reluctant to engage in warfare, although modern history offers proof that we are the most warlike nation in the world, and he is completely ignorant of facts.
The most interesting revelation of the evening is that Donald Trump gave the most concrete answers. This may hurt him based on past results of Republican voters. Apparently they don’t appreciate ideas or the truth.
All of the candidates declared that they would consider the Bush Administration’s policies of torture, and defended it with actions of other nations, although they criticized our President for seeking a lifestyle based on those of other nations. Is this hypocrisy at the highest level, or is this confirmation that the Republican Party is anti-American? Do they deny the principles of our founding fathers for their own ambitions?
In a final plea by Cruz, he claimed that he would abolish health care for millions of Americans, give the NRA carte blanche, and insure that the rights of the majority would be replaced by the interests of the wealthy. He completely denied the wishes of the majority of the American people.
As an Independent who supported members of both parties in my lifetime, I join Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush; I am embarrassed that these men are allowed to label themselves as Republicans.
I must give my final impression of the moderators. They appeared to present questions to Cruz which would make him favorable to New Hampshire voters. Was this another example of how money wins elections?
In my humble opinion, the few questions offered to Donald Trump gave proof that he won the core of the ‘debate;’ he is the only candidate who gave complete answers and directly answered the questions.
My final analysis is; do any of these fools deserve your vote? If you say ‘yes,’ you live in fantasyland.
