Tom Cotton is the junior Senator from Arkansas. He is a TEA Party darling who began campaigning for his future last year by committing an act of treason. He wrote a letter to the leaders of Iran in an attempt to derail the nuclear arms agreement.
His latest effort is intended to display his support for Israel. Cotton opposes a Palestinian State. Sadly, he knows little about history or geography.
Cotton introduced a bill to allow the labeling of all products from the area as “made in Israel,” discounting the fact that they may have been manufactured in Gaza or the West Bank.
This unqualified and ill-informed Senator is a perfect example of the failure of voters to vet candidates before casting their ballots. He should never have been elected. His use of emotion and lies during his campaign convinced weak-minded residents of the state of Arkansas that he would represent them in Washington; he is only representing himself.
The American people must take the 2016 election very seriously. The future of our nation will be decided by who will be living in the White House in 2017, and who will control Congress. Domestic issues are far more critical for the American People than defeating ISIS. Whoever the president is, he, or she, must negotiate with our allies and secure the terrorist group’s defeat; this is not something within the control of our people. But income inequality, poverty, education, and women’s rights are all issues we can address and demand solutions.
Cotton and his cronies will continue to attempt to divert the American people from focusing on what is important to them through fear tactics and emotional warfare.
Tom Cotton is a perfect example of what we receive when voters cast their ballots along party lines. The blame lies on the electorate, not the failed politicians who are destroying our government.
