Richard Dreyfuss Visits Megyn Kelly

Dreyfuss

Longtime activist Richard Dreyfuss was seen at a Ted Cruz rally. An overreaction by some on the left criticized the actor for his assumed support of the right wing extremist. The fake news magazine ‘People’ wrote the following:

Dreyfuss is “a beloved actor, needed to be kicked out of Hollywood.”

First of all, ‘People’ is assuming that all of Hollywood supports the Democratic Party. Many align themselves with Republicans including Kelsey Grammar, and Jon Voight. Secondly, being at an event does not prove that an individual supports that person.

Dreyfuss and his son Harry appeared on FOX Noise’ ‘The Kelly File’ to respond to the criticism. The actor told host Megyn Kelly that his other son, Ben, is an editor for ‘Mother Jones,’ and “always warned me never to read comments on the internet, because they were from people who were dropped on their head.”

He explained that out of curiosity, he wanted to see if there was any difference between what he heard on television, and being there in person; there was not.

Kelly had to make a remark about Glenn Beck, who has been proven to be the biggest fabricator to ever have his own show on FOX. She said that Dreyfuss sounded like her former colleague in that he loved the Constitution. The truth is that conservatives do not believe in the Constitution, but he let it pass.

However, he did offer a civics lesson. Dreyfuss has a charitable organization which is intended to raise the awareness of our political system among children.

“If anyone tells me that America is exceptional, my response is, if you don’t defend that statement and prove it, I’ll hit you right in the mouth,” he said. “Because people don’t think that it needs defending, and it does.”

The America in which I was raised was a great country, and we must make it great again.
