Expect a Downright ‘Nasty’ Republican Debate

1-28

All previous eight Republican ‘debates’ have been slug fests. After the failed attempt by FOX Noise in the first show, continued efforts to derail Trump have been completely unsuccessful. Tonight’s debate is expected to be the most vicious of them all now that Trump and Cruz have each won a single voter event.

The polls in South Carolina have Trump with nearly a 2-1 lead over Cruz. However, there is a distinct possibility that what occurred in Iowa could happen again; South Carolina has a large evangelical bloc of voters.

Personally, I am so tired of the same old thing; lots of mudslinging and no substance. Desperation will result in more vile attacks as the issues will be ignored. Guaranteed is the fact that Cruz and Bush will have their war machines at full throttle as they condemn Trump. Rubio will aim his rhetoric at Cruz in a desperate effort to secure second place two weeks from today.

If the standings in the polls are accurate, and the candidates finish in the order they stand today, Bush, Kasich, and Carson should end their campaigns.

If Rubio finishes in third place, and again in Nevada, ‘the party’s over.’ He trails by nine points in the Silver State to Cruz, and 22 behind Trump.

What everyone will be looking for is if Rubio can recover from his disastrous performance in the last ‘debate.’ Bluntly put, he was embarrassing.

I will not be watching it live; I will DVR the expected debacle so I can fast forward through much of what will surely be another disappointing exhibition by the passengers in the clown car.
