Rubio Fails to Let Go of his Fantasy

MR

Marco Rubio has been patting himself on the back since Saturday night’s debate in South Carolina, but I’m not sure why. In a composite of the polls he has lost a point to Cruz since the GOP’s ninth debate, and Trump has added two points to extend his lead far beyond everyone else. He continues to lag behind Cruz by nine points in Nevada, which holds its caucus three days after South Carolina’s primary.

Voters are aware that he is inexperienced and unqualified, as well as inconsistent in his campaign speeches, or, worse yet, repeats himself over and over with nothing new and concrete to say.

But there’s another sad truth to this GOP campaign season. The most extreme TEA Party darling, Ted Cruz, continues to criticize Rubio for ‘working with Democrats.’ Really? Obviously Cruz has no understanding of how our government works. Oh! That’s right, Cruz has always said ‘no’ to deliberation and compromise.

Regardless, Rubio has failed to impress. Like his fellow candidates, he talks a lot but offers nothing. His rhetoric is hot air, offering no solutions which would actually work.

His tax plan has been hailed as a gift to the one-percent. He would follow George W. Bush and rush to war without seeking alternatives to death and financial destruction for our nation. Is this the man to lead our nation? God, I hope not.

When Rubio was asked about his campaign, he said: “God’s in control of everything,”

If there is a God, does he really believe that He or She cares about American politics? Our government has shamed the nation, and Rubio has been a big part of it. His TEA Party has forgotten the majority of Americans. Claiming to be Christian does not make one a Christian. If someone does not follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, they are not allowed to make that claim. Judging others and not supporting equality and freedom for all men and women is not acceptable to the Savior.
