I cannot foresee Donald Trump losing the Republican Party’s nomination. The fools chasing him just don’t get it. Their failures in Washington are haunting them.
Yesterday, in South Carolina, the winner was no surprise, but where his support came from was. Donald Trump defeated Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz by ten points. Rubio and Cruz were virtually tied for second at 22.5 and 22.3 percent; far inferior to Trump’s 32 percent. Cruz has pandered to evangelicals, but Trump won the majority of their vote. Rubio, who panders to everyone, failed to impress South Carolinian voters.
Tuesday the Nevada Republican caucus will take place. Rubio and Cruz face a much tougher obstacle. Trump leads Cruz by 22 points in the polls and Rubio by 23.
Nationally Trump leads Cruz by nearly 14 points and Rubio by 16.
Although Trump’s eventual victory in the Republican Party cannot be claimed until the results of ‘Super Tuesday’ are revealed on March 1st, victories in New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada will give him additional momentum.
Trump has not destroyed the Republican Party; he is simply the symbol of a growing lack of respect for the GOP in the last seven years.
Think about it carefully. We’ve all listened to outrageous statements; some of which were completely un-American. Trump has lied, exaggerated, and used fear tactics to attract supporters; and his numbers continue to grow. He has zero experience in government, and has never accomplished anything which positively affected the American people.
Chasing ‘the Donald,’ are two sitting Senators. They have little experience in office, and have no accomplishments to add to their resumes. The American voter is not ignorant; they have observed the obstructionist efforts by these two TEA Party darlings. They seek a backward movement for our nation and its people. A vote for Trump is a vote of rejection for these two establishment members.
By March 2nd, the Republican Party will have a leader; and I expect that to be Donald Trump. With each loss, Cruz and Rubio are exposed as unqualified and uncaring candidates whose ambitions ‘trump’ the needs of the American people.
They continue to lack definition of what their presidency would involve for the betterment of the majority of the American people. They continue to promise that they would fail to work with Democrats, and they suggest that our nation will once again be involved in an unwinnable war in the Middle East.
Their criticism of Donald Trump for stating that he would work ‘across the aisle,’ and find a way to improve health care, is foolhardy. Our nation’s government cannot work without compromise, but it requires intelligence to master the art of deliberation. Cruz and Rubio lack the necessary tools to effectively work in our nation’s legislative body, and have nothing to bring to the presidency.
