Third Republican Debate Exceeded All Previous Decibel Levels

Politicians

I honestly tried to watch the CNN Republican debate Thursday evening, but within 15 minutes it was obvious that nothing new would be revealed. It was also obvious that Cruz and Rubio were in collusion in their attempts to harm Donald Trump’s lead in the Super Tuesday polls. The only thing that happened was continued embarrassment for those who were forced to sit and listen to a sad and unprofessional exchange.

Among the crowd were George and Barbara Bush. This true Republican couple was frequently seen shaking their heads at the three clowns on stage; they were not entertained.

Some media said that ‘this was Rubio’s best effort yet.’ Really? If ‘effort’ means attacks on your opponents based on events which occurred decades ago, and misdirection to avoid discussing actual solutions to the issues which face our next president, then yes, it was a good effort.

Cruz and Rubio were displaying the enormous fear of not only losing badly on Super Tuesday, but also losing their own states. The latest polls revealed that Cruz leads Trump by just six points in Texas. More frightening for Rubio is that he is losing in the polls for the Florida primary to be held on March 15th by 16 points.

One humorous note; Ben Carson and John Kasich were virtually ignored as CNN moderator Wolf Blitzer obviously lost control very early in the evening. The best line of the entire event was from Ben Carson. He said: “Would somebody please attack me?” This would be the only way he would be allowed to speak.

Ladies and gentlemen; the only word to describe Thursday evening is UGLY.
