Florida is often the butt of jokes for the late night talk shows. Its level of ‘crazy’ is legendary. However, they are displaying a great amount of common sense regarding their March 15th primary; mostly.
A poll revealed that Donald Trump leads Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz by double digits in the ‘Sunshine State.’ The poll also gave additional credence to the fact that Cruz is disliked not only by Washington, but also by the vast majority of the American people.
Why the following question was asked is unknown; hopefully someone was simply making an attempt to be facetious. Offered to Florida voters was the query ‘is Ted Cruz the Zodiac Killer?’ A surprisingly large number, 38 percent, believe it’s a possibility. Of that 38 percent, 10 percent are positive that Cruz is the infamous serial killer, while 28 percent ‘just weren’t sure.’
It’s easy to understand why George and Barbara Bush had startled looks on their faces and were shaking their heads during Thursday evening’s Republican “debate.” This is the Republican Party in the 21st century.
Forced to choose between two TEA Party darlings and Donald Trump would be an easy choice for me. Apparently, Republican voters in Florida agree with me. Every word out of the mouths of Rubio and Cruz is a lie, and their efforts to destroy our nation’s government have not been ignored.
I am often abhorred by what Trump says, but I believe that he means what he says. Truth and political speech are usually antonyms, but Trump says exactly what he means, no matter how vile that may be.
Personally, I don’t believe that Cruz is the ‘Zodiac Killer,’ but he is the primary reason our nation’s government is deceased.
