If you read me, you know that I do not believe in political parties. The only honest voters are Independents who vet all of the candidates and choose the person they believe is best qualified, regardless of party affiliation. Sadly, far too many Americans vote for candidates unworthy of holding public office, simply because they have an ‘R,’ or a ‘D’ next to their name; very foolish, and this is why our government in Washington is broken.
The first ad released by the DNC reflects this poor choice, but not by a voter; it features John McCain.
Once a great American, McCain has lost his way. It likely began when he made the worst decision I have ever witnessed in my lifetime and chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. Desperation replaced his slogan; “Country First.”
As expected, the tone of the ad is an attack on Donald Trump. It features excerpts from some of his tirades which are diametrically opposed to the principles of America and confirm his racism and bigotry.
In one scene, John McCain is being interviewed. He was asked if he would support Trump if he became the party’s nominee. His answer was an emphatic ‘yep, because he will always vote for a Republican candidate.’ It that putting our “Country First?”
McCain has ceased serving the American people, and is now simply another member of a failing party; his new slogan: “Party First.”
He should be listening to his good friend, Lindsey Graham. I thoroughly enjoyed his humorous lambasting of Trump, Cruz, Rubio, and Carson.
If the polls are accurate, this will be the type of ad primarily used by the Democratic Party. Trump is an easy target; and he likes it that way.
I read a lot. I have to ask one thing from the right wing; why won’t you admit the truth? Why are you blaming Trump for the destruction of the Republican Party? He is the result of seven years of disruption and obstruction in Washington. Admit the truth that voting for Trump is a vote against Republican leadership, and anyone currently holding office today. You must stop the denial and fix the GOP.
Meanwhile, Democratic leadership is ‘in hog heaven.’ Trump has enough serious problems as a legitimate candidate that they could run hundreds of different and truthful ads every day.
