I for one am tired of hearing an immature Marco Rubio label his opponents when he is talking about himself. Every attack he makes on Trump or Cruz is also applicable to his failing campaign.
I understand that mainstream Republicans are literally ‘shaking in their boots’ as it becomes more evident that Donald Trump will win the GOP nomination, but if you want Rubio to defeat Trump you must give him some weapons; he is presently unarmed.
Rubio has obviously been ordered to refrain from speaking about the issues and focus on attacking the front runner. Among his most childish efforts were personal and physical attacks which made the crowd groan. He said that ‘Trump doesn’t sweat because of his spray tan;’ and although he is tall, Trump has small hands, and ‘you know what they say about a man with small hands; he can’t be trusted.’ Really?
Rubio is far behind Trump in his home state of Florida which holds its primary on March 15. He is the epitome of a desperate politician who is certain to lose his bid for the nomination. Trump presently leads by 20 points in the ‘Sunshine State.’
“I will never quit. I will never stop until we keep a con man from taking over the party of Reagan and the conservative movement,” Rubio thundered at a rally with 2,000 people in Oklahoma City on Friday.
Let’s see if there is some truth in those remarks.
First of all, he will quit. When his supporters cease to fund his campaign after he loses in Florida, he will be forced to withdraw. Secondly, Trump is no more of a con man than Rubio. He wants you to believe that he is qualified to be the President of the United States although he has zero accomplishments as a Senator. Regarding Reagan: In this year Reagan would be labeled a ‘Democrat.’ The ‘conservative’ movement is an illusion. Rubio and his TEA Party radicals are reactionaries.
The only thing Rubio is accomplishing is losing the little dignity he has left. He has not impressed the voting public and after tomorrow his fate will be obvious; obvious to everyone but himself.
Does the following sound ‘presidential?’
“It’s amazing to me. A guy with the worst spray tan in America is attacking me for putting on makeup,” Rubio charged as he campaigned in Georgia on Saturday. “Donald Trump likes to sue people. He should sue whoever did that to his face.”
Where is the Republican Party when we need them?
