Trump is Receiving more Support than Both Sitting Senators

Unqualified

Whether endorsements are effective for political candidates is questionable, but occasionally they is more significance regarding who they did not support.

Donald Trump is receiving endorsements, while Ted Cruz has been ignored by his constituents.

Chris Christie was the first to offer his support for Trump. He spoke to a crowd in Texas and told them that he had been on the same stage with Trump’s challengers and he was compelled to endorse the real estate magnate. Then came the Governor of Maine, Paul LePage. Today it was announced that Republican from Alabama, Senator Jeff Sessions, has endorsed ‘the Donald’ as he held a rally in Huntsville.

“I’ve told Donald Trump … this is a movement,” Sessions said. “The American people are not happy with their government. We have an opportunity Tuesday, for the people’s voice to be heard. You have asked for 30 years … to fix illegal immigration. Have they done it? Donald Trump will do it.”

Republicans view this as a blow to the campaign of Ted Cruz. Donald Trump claims that ‘no one likes him;’ is this proof?

NBC is reporting that Rubio has received the endorsement of Lamar Alexander, a Republican Senator from Tennessee. Cruz has failed to receive support from a single member of Congress.

I must say that I doubt the sincerity of anyone who would endorse any of the three men who are presidential wannabees based on their lack of qualifications. Let’s be totally honest; the GOP has not offered us one candidate worthy of our support.

Tomorrow is ‘Super Tuesday.’ Trump continues to lead in eight of the eleven state polls. Cruz is first in only one state; Texas. He is currently ahead by nearly ten points. The bad news for the leader of the TEA Party is that because the Texas primary is held before March 15, he will not receive all of the state’s delegates; they will be divided amongst the winners. Rubio leads in Minnesota, and Ben Carson in Colorado.

If Trump has a big victory celebration tomorrow night, he will likely receive additional endorsements. Everybody loves a winner, and Trump may be unstoppable.
