Super Tuesday Defines America’s Future: It’s Hillary!

Clinton and Trump

The contest for the presidency has been defined. Last night’s primaries dictated the future of our nation. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will vie for the presidency in 2016. When the votes are tallied in November, Hillary will be the first female President of the United States.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton dominated Super Tuesday. Her delegate lead is substantial and it will be difficult for Bernie Sanders to catch up. But Senator Sander’s candidacy has forced Hillary to step up her stand for the middle class.

Last night’s big story is the Republican Party. Cruz will claim victory because he predictably won his home state of Texas, neighboring Oklahoma, and Alaska; but in truth, he was a big loser. Rubio constantly says that he is a winner, although he had but a single win in Minnesota. The reality is that Donald Trump easily won seven states. A composite of national polling gives Trump 35.6 percent of voters; Cruz 19.8, and Rubio 17.4 percent.

As Cruz and Rubio continue to speak about the ‘conservative movement,’ the voters do not support them. Extreme conservatism has resulted in a group of reactionaries who seek destruction of our system of government. Republican voters have seized control of the party which is now a ‘populist-nationalist’ group.

The proof is that Trump won with support from all demographics including men and women, moderates and conservatives, with the young and the old.

Yesterday forced reality to the surface; Trump cannot be beat by either Cruz or Rubio; only Trump can defeat Trump. He will go to the convention in July with sufficient delegates to win the nomination.

Rubio should withdraw. He failed miserably on Tuesday, and is 20 points behind Trump in the Florida polls.

Voters have made a statement; they have rejected the Republican establishment, and that includes the TEA Party which is represented by Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.

The Michigan Primary will be held on March 8th. Trump is currently leading in the polls by a two-to-one margin. This is significant as the primaries move away from the south towards the Midwest and West.

If Rubio continues to remain in the race, and I believe that he will, he will experience a crushing defeat when he loses Florida on March 15th. If you can’t win your own state, you must tattoo that big “L” on your forehead.

The Republican Party has extremely weak leadership. It’s plans for 2016 have been crushed. It failed to give voters what they wanted; a candidate who represents all demographics in the party.

Whether Donald Trump was merely lucky, or wisely calculated weakness in the Republican Party, he has exposed the rejection of the “conservative movement.” Extremists accomplish nothing with the exception of destruction. Whether you label them ‘centrists,’ or ‘moderates,’ they provide our nation with an effective government. Without two parties working together, the government designed by our forefathers cannot exist.

The rise of Donald Trump is a rejection of the TEA Party obstructionists. The American people have a right to expect their government to be a functioning body. As Cruz and Rubio criticize Trump for saying that he will work with Democrats, they are signaling the end of their campaigns. Their immaturity and ambitions are faults clearly recognized by voters.

It will be Clinton vs. Trump in November whether the ‘establishment’ likes it or not.
