Eleven Debates: Eleven Embarrassing Schoolyard Brawls

Unqualified

Thursday night the Republican Party, with the assistance of their propaganda machine, FOX Noise, pretended to conduct a debate. The first questions were aimed at Donald Trump and how he reacted to a rather silly speech earlier in the day by a Republican failure, Mitt Romney. The next two questions of Rubio and Cruz resulted in a non-answer. Both of the TEA Party darlings refused to directly answer the queries by FOX’s fake journalists. That’s when I turned to the Weather Channel, which offered intelligent information based on facts. I was convinced that this was another attempt by the Republican elite to end Trump’s success.

I really don’t care what else they said in the next hour or two. I am certain that they had nothing of importance regarding the issues facing the American people. These men are dangerous, and have no concern other than their own ambitions. They are not true Republicans, and they have guaranteed the implosion of a once Grand Old Party.

Later, as I read the accounts of the most recent debacle of the Republican Party, I once again heard support of many issues rejected by the American people. The most egregious was the claim that the second amendment was sacred. The lives of innocents are far more important than the rights of gun manufacturers and gun sellers to experience increased profits.

The right wing seeks modification or revocation of several of the Bill of Rights, but because the NRA lobby contributes millions of dollars to their campaigns, they use a self-promoting view of the second amendment to favor profit before people.

I love the people of our nation. I love the intentions of our founding fathers. There was a time when I admired the Republican Party for its ideals and service to the American people. I do not have those same feelings today.

I am ashamed of those who claim to be Republicans today. They share none of the principles and ideals of their predecessors. They are a party of big business where profit trumps people. This is why the GOP will be split into as many as five factions in 2017. It is no longer one of the great protagonists of the American people.

A final thought; why would even a devout Republican vote for any of the three leading candidates in the general election? Without any qualifications or intellect, they would endanger the American people in every aspect. National security nor domestic affairs would be intelligently addressed. The working class would suffer far more under their presidency.

But don’t listen to me; listen to John McCain who said that he would vote for any Republican nominated, even if they hated our nation and denied its principles.
