Expect Huge Protests at the Republican Convention

Quicken Loans Arena

Last evening protestors stood outside the Republican ‘debate’ chanting “can’t take no more,” and “Flint lives matter.” The event in Detroit prompted the rebellion as various groups denounced the GOP candidates for their lack of support for the majority. This is an omen of what will happen on a larger scale in just a few months.

The Republican Convention will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, between July 18 and the 21st. It will be of no consequence whether the nominee is Trump, Cruz, or Rubio, all three have displayed racism, bigotry, and a lack of interest in the majority of the American people.

Black Lives Matter will be in force. The Cleveland Police Department has one of the worst records in the nation of mistreating and killing black men and women. Muslim groups will likely be in attendance to protest Donald Trump’s prejudice towards all who practice the religion of Islam. Working people, whether members of a union or not, will be demanding that the party address a growing income inequality. Anti-war groups will denounce the plans of all three to once again engage in an unwinnable war in the Middle East. Women’s groups will exhibit their anger at a party which supports Religion over individual rights.

All of America is angry with the GOP candidates who are more concerned with penis size and the past than with the needs of the majority and the future of our nation. This displeasure will not be evident inside of Quicken Loans Arena, but outside, crowds will be expressing their anger in large numbers.

It will be interesting to see how the Cleveland police handle will the large crowds; many of whom will be black.
