Trump Exposes Failed Republican Policy and Romney’s Lies

you are fired

As if it needed another reason to hate Donald Trump, the Republican Establishment was given a ‘huge’ one; Trump had the gall to tell the truth about GOP policies which have failed our nation and the working class.

In 2012 Trump endorsed Mitt Romney for president. A few days ago, Romney minced few words as he belittled the Republican Party’s leader. However, they share some of the same ideas about trade and foreign relations.

The belief of most Americans, including Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, is that cutting taxes, deregulating corporations, and virtually allowing them to act in any manner they deem necessary, are the solutions to increasing employment.

The primaries are moving to the Midwest, and those voters are aware that these ideas have not worked. These Americans believe that our balance of trade is ‘out of whack.’ Trump has spoken repeatedly concerning the matter, and agrees with Romney when he spoke in 2012.

“I’ve watched year in and year out as companies have shut down and people have lost their jobs because China has not played by the same rules, in part by holding down artificially the value of their currency.”

In 2015, America’s trade deficit with China was $366 billion.

They are not wrong. Trade agreements have heavily favored nations around the world, and many of our country’s best jobs now exist on foreign soil. The ‘job creators’ have failed to build new factories in America, and continue to place their bloated profits in offshore accounts.

To GOP leadership, this is heresy. The rich should not be forced to contribute to our nation’s future. Once again they fail to understand why Trump is receiving far more support than any other candidate.

Romney said the following:

“Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,” said Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee, to a crowd in Salt Lake City, and he received thunderous applause. “He’s playing the members of the American public for suckers.”

Is he now claiming that his criticism of our trade policy was wrong?

Oh, those whacky politicians; they’ll say anything if they have an audience.
