With all the ‘friendly fire’ coming from the Republican Party’s presidential candidates this year, little discussion has occurred regarding the infamous Koch brothers. We cannot forget them and their role in the American political system.

Although they have not formally endorsed a candidate, it is a well-known fact that they oppose a Trump presidency. But don’t believe that they would fail to support a Trump Administration; they are heavily invested in the Republican Party through their misnamed ‘Citizens for Prosperity,’ and their ‘dark money’ contributions.

In fact, the Koch brothers plan to spend one-billion-dollars on Republican candidates; did I say ‘Republican?’ I meant TEA Party hopefuls.

Some believe that the Koch brothers will save they Republican Party from its imminent destruction. Who are they kidding? They are the reason that the party is imploding. They want to divide the GOP for a single purpose; absolute control.

If Trump should win the presidency, their new ambition will be to make him a one-term president and replace him with one of their own. Have no delusions; the Koch brothers have a singular goal which is the complete control of our nation.

Let’s look at the facts. The TEA Party would not exist without them. Why did they create a group which would oppose fundamental Republican principles and create obstruction within our government? Why was standard policy to say ‘no,’ while refusing to deliberate and compromise?

If Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz would win the Republican nomination, unlimited funds would fall out of the Koch brother’s wallets to help them win in November. If not, their plans will begin for 2020.

Historically, political organizations begin a process of hibernation after a general election; this will not be true of the Koch brothers. They already have in place more than 1,200 employees across the nation, and are funding these centers without concern regarding the amount. Both are far greater than the RNC.

They seek to own their own political party without being forced to lobby for legislation which would increase their profits.

Never forget that the Koch brothers are heavily invested in the oil and gas industry. They are the largest promoters of pipelines in the United States. Under their control the environment would suffer even greater disaster. They have no concern for the future of your grandchildren and offer absolutely no support for saving our world’s air, soil, and water.

It is because of the Koch brothers and their like that the right wing denies that climate change is caused by man’s use of carbon-based fuels. Although 95 percent of the world agrees with 99 percent of the scientists, one small group of profit-based politicians fails to admit to the facts.

Don’t forget how the Supreme Court decision in favor of ‘Citizens United’ has harmed our political system.

Join the reason Donald Trump supporters believe in him; vote wisely and ignore political affiliation. Only voting independently can save our nation and restore its government to the people.
