Ted Cruz is ambitious, fallacious, un-American, and a hypocrite. He fought not only any legislation proposed by Democrats, he lambasted his own party if they didn’t see things his way. Now that he is seeking a personal goal of becoming our president, he is asking for the support of Republican voters, although he is not a member of that party; Cruz is the leader of the TEA Party.
Interviews with members of his past, including his classmates in college and law school, reveal that he was not well-liked. He was considered arrogant, aloof, and self-centered. His constituents in the Senate have similar opinions today.
Speaking in Illinois, Cruz said the following. Does this sound condescending, and a little bit desperate to you?
“If you’re here today, or at home watching on TV thinking about supporting Marco Rubio or John Kasich, I say to you, they are good men but they do not have a path for winning,” the Texas senator said here at a rally at a civic center. “It’s mathematically impossible for them to win, so I say, ‘Come and join us, we welcome you with open arms.’”
Here are the facts. After today’s primaries, the party could be over; (pun intended).
Trump will undoubtedly receive the largest number of delegates. Nationally, Cruz trails Trump by more than 14 points. Cruz’ only hope is that Kasich and Rubio voters rally behind him, and that’s somewhat doubtful. Next to Trump, Cruz is the most disliked presidential candidate.
Cruz must face the truth; Trump cannot be stopped. Regardless of displays of racism, bigotry, hate, violence, and ignorance, his numbers have not diminished. The truth is that millions of Republican voters hate the Republican establishment which has failed them for nearly eight years.
The future of the Republican Party is obvious; it has none. It is fractured, and after the convention in July it is likely to become shattered.
The future of our nation is in the hands of the voters. President Obama has moved our nation forward, and we must elect a president who will continue his efforts. The focus must be the working class; the majority. Domestic problems will decide America’s future, not a group of thugs and villains in the Middle East.
Individual rights and complete equality for all Americans must be the focus of our nation’s leaders. It must not be a consideration whether an American is male or female, black or white, heterosexual or a member of the LGBT community, and Christian or Muslim.
The United States can only attain its former glory if it moves forward and reinstates the principles of our Constitution.
There can be no room for hatred and prejudice. Compassion, tolerance, and understanding must once again become the priority of our nation’s people.
