Although the 12th Republican debate was more civil, it failed to give the American people any insight into the candidates stand on domestic issues, or their character. Thankfully, all three remaining candidates have decided not to participate in another FOX debate originally scheduled for Monday evening in Utah.
Ted Cruz was quick to criticize Donald Trump for deciding not to participate in Monday’s FOX debate. He said that the Donald is afraid to debate him. But without Kasich and Trump’s participation, no ‘debate’ could exist.
Cruz has a right to be angry. He cannot defeat Trump in a sufficient number of primaries to win the GOP nomination, and he hoped to gain momentum in another debacle Republicans call a ‘debate.’ The problem with Cruz is that he has no answers for America’s problems, speaks in generalities, lies while staring into the camera, and is a hawk. Other than that, he’d make a great president; or maybe just the president of his own church.
Trump told “Fox and Friends” during a phone interview that he was “was very surprised when I heard that Fox called for a debate.”
“I think we have had enough debates,” he said. “We have had 11 or 12 debates. I did really well on the last one. I think I have done well in all the debates…But I think we’ve had enough. How many times can the same people ask you the same question?”
“Nobody told me about it,” he added. “And I won’t be there, no.”
Instead, Trump said, “I’m making a very major speech in front of a very important group of people.”
Cruz registered his disappointment; he needs the exposure. He is presently leading in only four states in the polls of future primaries, and all four are sparsely populated, with few delegates accumulated for the winner.
Why would Trump ever agree to a debate moderated by FOX Noise? Beginning early in August, they attempted to derail his campaign under orders from RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. FOX is loyal to the Republican establishment, not all members of the GOP.
They have also renounced Cruz in the past for his extremism and disloyalty to his fellow Republican Senators. Oh how they cheered for Rubio, but it became increasingly obvious to the party’s voters that he would have been weak; he offered no proof that he was qualified to lead his party, much less the entire nation.
Monday night everyone will be able to watch “Wheel of Fortune,” or any other program which may not be as entertaining as the faux-debates, but they will be more honest and peaceful.
