Cruz Extends Extremism with Islamophobic Advisor

Ted Cruz consistently makes the claim that Donald Trump is both too extreme, and at the same time ‘not conservative enough.’ I don’t know what he means, but that has been my observation regarding Cruz since 2013. One thing we do know, is that he has a new advisor on national security; you’ll want to hear this if you’ve been wavering on a choice for the GOP nomination; you may become enlightened and convert your status as an Independent.

Frank Gaffney, a man described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as “one of America’s most notorious Islamophobes,” has been added to Cruz’ team of national security advisors. It appears that the junior Senator from Texas is attempting to match Donald Trump’s expressions of bigotry.

I would assume that Cruz’ next additions will be Jerry Falwell, and Pat Robertson. He admires the opinions of these fake-religious leaders, and they would be accepted ‘with open arms,’ as Cruz is fond of saying repeatedly.

Trump and Cruz have risen to the forefront of American politics, not because they are leaders who will solve our domestic problems and make our nation great once again, it is because their followers agree with the two men’s beliefs in racism, bigotry, homophobia, and misogyny.

It is impossible for me to believe that Cruz’ supporters approve of him in relation to his policies and past history in the Senate. He is the leader of a small group of obstructionists who have destroyed our Democratic Republic.

Today Cruz, who has been denounced by ‘establishment’ Republicans, has received support today from these same hypocrites. Their purpose; to defeat Donald Trump.

Marco Rubio says that he will now support Cruz, but he is also a TEA Party darling, and therefore not a huge surprise.

A bigger surprise is Lindsey Graham. A few weeks ago he said that ‘if Ted Cruz was killed on the Senate floor, and the trial was held in the Senate, no one would be convicted.’ Acting in typical Republican hypocritical fashion, he is now supporting Cruz.

The people must elect an American as our president. Neither Trump nor Cruz fill that definition. They oppose the very principles and ideals upon which our nation was founded. Neither man represents the majority of the American people. If elected they will insure the success of big business and ignore the severe problems facing the majority of our nation’s people.
